Answered: Yes, they've been at it for years.
Zelaya is a dictator want to be like Hugo Chavez. He has his hands in all S. American countries and is trying to take control of all of S. America similiar to how Obama is trying to take control of the US. Chavez promises the ignorant and poor the world and anything he has to get a vote. My wife a Peruvian tells me how the left controlled Peru until the people got smart. We need to get smart!

Chances are that Zelaya pissed off others in the Oligarchy (Yes, I said "others") who did not appreciate where he was taking the country - in the direction of Chavez.

If this had been a Freidmanite thing there would have been some "Chicago Boys" on the ground ready to take over, as there was in Chile.
