Taylor Swift has had a phenomenal last couple of years, with practically the entire country industry standing behind her after the infamous VMA incident, as well as eight Grammy nominations including a win for Album of the Year, and a promising romance with actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

But 2011 isn't looking so hot for the young singer-songwriter.

Not only was "Speak Now" the worst-selling album to sit at the top of the charts in Billboard history, but she was also dumped by Gyllenhaal in late December and parodied by Gwyneth Paltrow on "Saturday Night Live" this week.

She also failed to receive any Grammy nominations, though because of the cut-off date only the earliest singles from her new album were eligible.

On the other other hand, Kanye West's album has been nominated for Album of the Year.

Could West finally be getting the revenge he foreshadowed at the VMAs in 2009?

I hope. I mean, she doesn't write songs about anything other than boys. It's really getting obnoxious. You can only produce essentially the same song so many times before people get bored of you. I also find it funny that she seemed so proud that she wrote speak now in its entirety- as if it's such a huge accomplishment, or so rare, when good musicians do so with all their albums.

I think love story is the best shes had and will have after you belong with me. In her songs its always the same story and it's REALLY getting annoying and boring to listen to her other songs.

I don't think so. I think anyone's sophomore album is going to have a hard time living up to what her debut did. BUT she's been on every awards show and talk show and her exposure and people's interest in her don't seem to be any less. One has to take into account that she was on top of the billboard charts in one of the worst years the music industry has seen in a while. Thanks, economy. But, no... I think she'll be around for a while. She's a household name and she's likely to stay that way for a while.

i'm tempted to say yes, BUT let's let her bask a while longer. she is a very talented and dedicated young artist who was willing to pursue her dreams with a family that supports her...she's not nearly as irritating as paris hilton who got way more than her 15 minutes...

I agree, and at least I'm not aware of any drugs or other insanity in her life, like so many celebs. Taylor seems refreshingly clean-cut, and happy in her success.

All her songs sound the same and she puts on the most annoying country voice when she sings.
"she wears short skirts i wear tshirts"amazing writing skills there Taylor WOW.
Nothing against the girl,just there are much more talented people in the industry getting much let recognition.

And that, in a nutshell, is my problem with her. Somewhere there are more Susan Boyles who nobody knows exist, while mediocre bimbos get loads of credit for talent they don't have. It offends my sense of justice.
