Are some of these women's based reality shows make American women look bad?

The worst in my opinion are the Real Housewives, The Bad Girls Club Jersey Shore Jerseylicious, Shahs of Sunset Big Rich Texas and Dance Moms. Pageant Moms
Do they make women in the U.S. look bad? They do in my opinion

The women on these shows send a bad message to American young women growing up, giving the impression that being a drunken, and a self absorbed slag is preferable to being intelligent. They teach that "style" is more important than intellectual substance.

The Italian Press said they were so happy to see Jersey Shore leave Italy. The Governor of New Jersey called them "disgraceful."

On Dance Moms, they women live their dreams through their kids, pushing them to the point of injury, just to get them noticed in Dance competitions.

Pageant Moms show women making their 8-13 y/o daughters look 30ish, to win prizes.

Have you seen these shows/ What's your take on them?

maybe. but you have to know that people around the world copy this type of program so the story become local actually ...so if these women(the American) looked bad then (the other whom copied the American) in their country the same

I'll admit I watch them but they really do. 30 and 40 something acting like 'mean girls' in high schools always puzzles me.

Most or all reality shows are scripted, fudged, and bent to try to lure more viewers.

But really most or all reality shows suck!

Foreigners also might see them and think they represent typical American women.
Then people wonder why our worldwide reputation is so bad.

Any sensible person only has to look at how the women from their own country are shown in similar programmes!

The shows would go off the air in mid season if stupid people didn't watch them. That's how you get better shows. It's like all the family sitcoms in the 60s and 70s that made men look dumber than a box of rocks. People like that kind of stuff. I don't, I hate them all, and haven't watched some of them, just seen clips.

yes they make Americans look stupid and ignorant because people want to see shows about someone Elses exciting side

Mel look for a Tv show called the Secret circle its suppose to be about Wiccans
but Wiccans are in protest of this show as it has nothing to do with Wicca
the show is about using power and magic for personal Gain and good and evil and even the good witches are bad and violent

all it is entertainment to keep you stupid

thats why i watch educational programs
