Many bad calls...and unnessary roughness has not been called enough, from what I've seen. Some players are taking advantage of the replacements!

The Regular refs are just as bad. They miss a lot of calls, let obvious infractions go...so, it's no different; except these guys are under the microscope because they ARE replacements....

There are numerous people online posting pictures as to why that was a good call. And if you look at the rules of the NFL. Tate had possession. But the pushing. That was a reason to cancel the touchdown. Not the possession fiasco

Waa Waa Waa. It's time to grow up. I've never been a fan of Instant Replay officiating. The call on the field is the call on the field. No game EVER comes down to "one call." Not if you're getting the job done the rest of the game. I've NEVER heard a player or a coach or a fan say, "We will (or should) give back our victory, because the only reason we won is that the ref blew the call." Certainly over the course of a season, and for that matter over the course of a single game, as many bad calls go FOR you as go AGAINST you. So it all evens out in the end. So grow up and put on your big-boy pants. You're not in preschool anymore.

well the seahawks games did come down to one call though. that's why people are freaking out. That was the difference between losing or winning a game. And since there are more green bay fans. more people feel pressured into believing this was a bad call. which it wasn't at all

Jake, you missed my point. Did they ever go 3 and out during the game? Did they ever fail to hold the Packers to a 3 and out? Ever drop a pass? Ever have a busted play? Would you ever give back a victory because your team won as a result of a bad call?

The NFL messed up with the hiring and training of the replacements. Obviously thousands of people could have been excellent referees with proper selection and training but the NFL did not do that and sent unprepared refs out.

Packers, Packers did anybody bother to ask the SeaHawks; their player had simultaneous possession; rules say simultaneous possession goes to the offense. Packers, Packers boo hoo, boo hoo.

They are ruining the game, but now that they are back and I see what some of the terms of the settlement are, its disgraceful on both sides. The refs salaries are going to go up from 149K to 205K over the term of the contract. I don't know about anyone else, but in todays economy, that is a lot of money, with 23 million people unemployed. That is terrible for a part time job. Lets face it 6 months actual work, for 1 day a week, give me a break, just like the players, its just greed. I'm glad they're back but at too, high a cost. SHAMEFUL!!!

What is ruining football and other things in society is when big company owners are only interested in fair calls when it affects them. It is suddenly a big disturbance that the real refs are taking a break because they are not getting paid what they are worth, but no one cared about what they wanted before.

It's the same in all social services employments. People want them to work for nothing, but when they are not there to do their jobs, then something real important is missing in society.

I don't think they're ruining the game. Here's why. It's because I think Roger Goodell is ruining the game. These refs are doing the best they can and they simply have not had the time to prepare. They were put in a very tough position, and they were put there by Goodell. He is to blame. He was in large part responsible for getting a deal done (that's what I've read from other sources) and he didn't. Not only that, I think he ruined the game when he took over as commish. Now we have key defensive players getting fined and suspended for hitting someone too hard. Personally I think the game is a joke anymore, and I've watched and loved the game for over 30 years.

The NFL was ruined a long time ago with constant B.S. rules removal of fair play rules and oversight committees.

I'm a Seahawks fan, but I have seen the bungled calls- not just that one on Monday night. If this hastens the talks for the real officials, so be it. But do not expect a desire from me to have the "standing call by the NFL" changed.

He people do you remember when we didn't have instand replay, and what ever calls the ref made was final, we took there word.I wonder how you would fair, with 2 months of preperations. were lucky to have any ref, and football, sure it was a bad call for green bay but good call seahawks.

The problem with the replacement refs is they don't have the game experience of doing it every Sunday, that is obvious by how many call are missed or how calls that are called should not be called.

About all they are doing really is their best to get things right so players can make it through the season.

Of course when you got games that end like Seattle/Green Bay or Baltimore/New England you have to wonder if they can get anything right, but again it comes down to experience and what the NFL want to put in place to make sure errors are corrected when they occur or redefine the rules to make them clearer as they have done in the past.

Makes one wonder if ODumbo will come out and say the white ref "acted stupidly," and the black ref made the right call. Guess it would depend on his political calculation of Green Bay voters.....

Why end the lockout? Why not have the officials simply come back to work under the terms of the old contract? Other mere mortals must tighten their belts.

Pro football is not composed of mere mortals from the owners, through the big gamblers, to the owners of the concessions, to the players, to the referees.
