I want to say it's not, but it does take physical strength and cardio (endurance) to win. I'm not sure how to classify this event. I wanted to know what your thoughts. Explain your answer please.

reply - jaymz 2012/03/20 02:18:35They are athletes.when was the last time you tried to drive 500 miles at 200 miles an hour with no ac, not stereo , and no bathroom break ? it's a lot harder than it looks , thats why those guys get millions just to drive ! i'm a professional driver . i drive a truck for a living in much worse traffic than them and way lass safety equipment , plus i dont make no where near what they do and i know thier job is harder than mine !reply

reply - Junior-BN-0 2012/03/20 01:35:44They are athletes. They have to be able to take extremes of heat and maybe cold as well. They have to have lightning fast reflexes to avoid wrecks as well as keeping the car on the track correctly. Race car driving is a lesser known sport so I guess that gets entered into the conversation as to whether they are athletes or not.reply
