This advert received over 1000 complaints to the advertising standards commission. What do you think, does it promote animal cruelty or is it just a bit of fun?

It`s kind of stupid, but I don`t think it was meant to be in bad taste. Just someones wierd sense of humor.
But that`s just my opinion,and I am an animal/cat lover. meow!

Um... guys wearing sleep masks playing soccer? Ok.. Kind of weird... the off camera kick and screech from the cat... hillarious (and seeing the cat at the end, unharmed if a bit shook up cool too...)

I find this in bad taste.. I don't think people who can't see should be used as the brunt of jokes. It just doesn't sit right with me.

The people who can't see... are wearing masks. If they were really blind they wouldn't need that kind of masks...

I KNOW that, but I still find it in bad taste. I "GOT" that and still found it somewhat offensive. I had a blind student in my class a few year's back and trust me, this wouldn't be funny to her family.

Now that *is* an interesting persspective, because so far the only people who had raised concerns had done so from the animal protection point of view rather than that of the community of the blind, their families and supportors...

It tells us they were more concerned about the cat than the human aspect and that is also pretty sad.

Yes, that was my focus. I am a cat lover too, but I recognized the Monty Python type of humor that was intended. It just wasn't done with the brilliance of that group. Instead, all I could think about was the student and her family and how when I took her to recess every day I had to hold my breath and pray she wouldn't get hurt. She was an amazing child. And the family was great too. But, they touched my life forever.

True. It just affected me that way the first time I saw it. I watched it again and it didn't bother me. However, the first time it did....
