If you're sick of Chris Brown's post-domestic violence scandal comeback (and his new neck tattoo), you're not alone. A Canadian media company has created a "Brownout" plug-in that blocks the hip-hop star's face and name from your browser.

chris brown

“It is nearly impossible to go on the Internet without reading something about him; he is always doing something outrageously moronic,” Sam Sutherland, online producer for AUX, the company that created Brownout, told CBS Local. “If he wants to get a tattoo on his neck that kinda looks like Rihanna, we are going to write about it. But at some point, it reaches Chris Brown idiocy saturation."

Previously, AUX has "blocked" Nickelback; next up could possibly be Donald Trump. Do you think "Brownout" is an awesome idea? Or do you like reading about -- and looking at -- Chris Brown?

Really? Is he the most threatening, horrible person that Canada can ever imagine?? There are far worse people who are deserving of total deletion. How about an App for Rush Limbaugh??

Interesting how Rihanna abuses Chris but comes out of the fray with national contracts and Chris? People creating an App that deletes him from the Internet, what's next, Republicans creating an App that deletes black men who are not their steppin fetchin from the face of the Earth? Seriously, this is hype and publicity stunts at best, they are both abusers, why is it Rihanna get's a pass?

Get your facts straight, Rihanna took off on Chris because of her jealousy streak

The facts as I read them were this. Rihanna was looking through his phone, no she shouldn't have been doing that, and found some questionable pictures. An argument ensued. She said something particularly nasty or we will go with your timeline and she either hit or slapped him. He then proceeded to turn her face into hamburger ! Even if she did strike him he shouldn't have done that ! If he had hit her only once then I would have figured heat of the moment and been able to get past it. With how she looked he had to have pounded on her for several minutes !!! I say he needs to be dropped in a UFC ring with a couple of the top fighters and let them make his face look like hers did !!!! THEN I will figure he has paid his dues !!!!!!

He should not defend himself against someone intent to do harm to him?

Rihanna and Chris are both abusers, why is it Rihanna get's a

As I said, if he had hit her once I am guessing she would have stopped if she was the big abuser you claim she is. HE BEAT HER TILL SHE LOOKED LIKE HAMBURGER !! It takes a truly cowardly POS to do that !!!! If she was a bodybuilder of some kind I could see him being fearful of her. Since she ain't, he is a LOWLIFE !!!!!

Someone made an APP to block him? Give me a break. That's going too far. Just skip the damn song if you don't like it. If seeing a pic of Chris Brown disturbs you this much, then that's your problem not his. How come they don't have a block Hitler app?

Nobody said it was his problem. It is the problem of the people who dont like seeing him. So they are taking it upon themselves to fix THEIR personal issue. The idea of the app is to block him from your browser. While I doubt it's effectiveness, I see no problem with it.

I'd also like to point out that the "SodaHead Celebs" apparently have no idea what "hip-hop" actually means. Chris Brown is primarily R&B;.

Some women pick their own poison and like it rough, and filled with drama mistaken for passion. Just take a look at some of his creepy thug friends, jailbirds and drug dealers turned rappers. Rhianna got exactly what she was looking for; a night of S&M gone wild.
  • XQNP john n 2012/09/27 02:18:04

Ignoring that your statement has almost nothing to do with my original post, I'd point out two things: first, crime is primarily a means of trying to escape poverty. Rap often is too. That's why many rappers are ex-criminals; they abandon terrible social practices for artistic and economic advancement. And second, actual S&M, though a perversion by the most strict definitions of the word, hinges primarily on the fact that participants will not actually get hurt. Comparing S&M (or, more accurately, BDSM) practitioners to the victims of abusive (physically or otherwise) relationships is insulting to both parties.

Being poor and abiding by the law have nothing to do with each other, and I have much more respect for a poor man who steals a loaf of bread, then one that sells drugs and then writes songs about it.

Steal a loaf, and you eat bread for a day. Sell some drugs, you can feed your family for a week or even a month, maybe finally be able to do something nice for them, instead of skipping birthdays and holidays to survive. Start writing songs about your experiences, and, if you get lucky, the money comes in, and you never have to steal or sell drugs again.

Something nice for them, something honorable and vile for their environment. You sound like a poor version of those elitist pricks in Washington; money hungry dips with an excuse to justify perverted self-serving behavior. Save it kid I'm from the Bronx, and if I am going to be served crap; I prefer it severed on a silver plate! You should really run for public office; that twisted mentality is exactly why this Country is in its present condition and thieves are running ramped throughout our government.

From a logical perspective, insults are not a valid reply and neither are unrelated songs, so there's not really anything I can say to respond to yours. I'd appreciate it if next time, you actually attacked my arguments, assuming you actually read them.

However it is argued, being poor is not an excuse for committing crimes; neither are being rich or wearing a badge.

    The song does apply.
  • XQNP john n 2012/10/08 19:36:22
    XQNP
The song doesn't apply in the same way insults are invalid. And "it is argued" isn't the same thing as "I am arguing." If you have an argument, either logically summarize it yourself or, if that's too hard, find someone else who can do it for you.

Godfather why don't you go and bugger off? As educated as you are, it should be obvious that you have been virtually blocked, if that is toooo difficult a concept; have someone explain it to you!
  • XQNP john n 2012/10/15 09:12:31
    XQNP
English isn't your first language, is it? And I know that saying that might make me seem hypocritical, as it could be construed as an insult, but let's take a look at your actual words. "Godfather" isn't an insult, though you seem to be using it as one. And "blocked" would mean my comments weren't coming through, which obviously isn't the case, given that you're responding to them. But again, I implore you, make a logical argument for the position you claim to defend.
  • john n XQNP 2012/10/15 18:35:35
    john n
    1. In any language the point is quite clear: 'Being poor is not an excuse for committing crimes'!

    2. Godfather in your case is an observation based on your comments about bending the law!

    3. 'Virtually Blocked' means that to date I have never actually blocked anyone, but you may very well be the first!

    4. Hopefully this interaction has concluded!

    5. Have a nice day!
  • XQNP john n 2012/10/16 06:12:23

    1. Finally, you agree to bring the point back. Poverty is an excuse for crimes when the alternative is starvation. Unless, of course, you think the poor should, in fact, just die. You also have consistently failed to address my criticisms of your lack of understanding of BDSM practices and philosophy.

    2. Forgive me for not realizing your meaning here immediately, but you do have a tendency to go off on random tangents (like this conversation). But even considering that, "Godfather" is a poor metaphor, as it implies wealth, and we are talking about the crimes of the poor.

    3. If you don't want to talk to me, just stop responding.

    4. I'm not done yet. If you are, then just don't come back.

    5. You too!
