all i have to say
"animal protectors" who resort to unethical, classless, hypocritical, and disgusting ways when they feel that they aren't getting enough attention. They basically kill all they animals they're supposed to be protecting, and told a group of children at a restaurant that drinking beer was better than milk, because it wasn't "harmful to animals". They also blasted Obama for swatting a f*cking fly, and threw paint on a group of random people's fur coats.
however, they do a really crappy job at getting their point across and most of their "campaigning" is more self-serving than anything
But it's a sign that society is screwed up that they actually need an organization to do what should be obvious to any sane person.

But what's even wilder, plants communicate with each other and "scream" in response to herbivore attacks. Some species communicate through volatile chemicals that are similar to pheromones. Others use an underground network of roots to communicate with their neighbors.
When other plants pick up on these messages they initiate defensive mechanisms, such as filling their leafs with a repulsive chemical or making them harder to chew, and therefore less desirable. Here are a few articles on talking plants and chemical screams:

You realize what this means, right? The same arguments that supposedly speak against eating meat can be made against eating plant matter. If you buy into the vegan philosophy, you can't eat any kind of organic tissue anymore.

you dishonor your family.
