Anne Hathaway's 'Nipple Dress' Steals the Show at Oscars: Are Memes the Best Part of Award Shows?

Anne Hathaway couldn't stop grinning at the 85th Academy Awards on Sunday night, as well she should have been -- she picked up the award for Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in "Les Miserables." However, it was her Prada gown that had the internet transfixed, unfortunately.

The cream halter top dress was understated and elegant, and Hathaway told E! that "It was the one that spoke to me," -- apparently, she only picked it out three hours before the event.

But it attracted attention for the area around the bust, which pinched and appeared to make Hathaway's nipples visible. Within minutes, Twitter blew up with tweets about the unfortunate outfit, and @HathawayNipple was even tweeting from its own account.

However, in comparison to the unfortunate and upsetting "upskirt" incident at one of the "Les Miserables" premieres last year, it's unlikely that the now Oscar-winning actress minds too much. Do you think memes are the best part of award shows?

The jokes are funny, but I'm pretty sure it's just the darts on the bust of that dress creating that point, not her nipples.

She's really not ample enough for the dress or it's just too big. The color looks great though. This is how it should look, filled out with no droopy material in between. No one wore this style as well as Marilyn in my opinion.

She may be naturally slender, I don't know. But I have seen her in dresses that were flattering for her body type. This just wasn't flattering for her.

It's plain to see the bust darts were too pointy. Had she had bigger breast the darts would of filled out and looked smooth. Not sure why someone did not notice this when she first tried the dress on.

honestly I do not think that was all her nipple. the gown has a sewn in that makes the dress cut from the sides of the chest. only women will notice this because we wear dresses. men only think about pointy things on her chest means nipples.

But they are fun. If people would just get over all this damn nipple and leg mania, it would be better. If you don't like that stuff, don't watch. I hate car wrecks and so I don't watch NASCAR. People have nipples and legs and balls and all the other equipment that is under our clothes every day. Get over it. People show what they want to show. If you don't like it, don't look.

she just wants attention. first showing off her crotch, No undies....Sick Beeotch....and now her nipples...... I have lost all respect for her, I thought she was a good actress, now seems she just is sick. Cut her hair off and now she is a sick twisted uncouth, and disrespectful.
