People think having sex appeal is having everything hanging out. Anne is sexy for just being Anne, and no one else. She is chic and classy, which is very attractive, because she doesn't need to try very hard to look stunning. She was lovely in Les Miserables, if you have not seen it, please do. Classic elegance is a good way to describe her.

I think the photos included by the OP are more 'real' and therefore more relevant. Does she have sex appeal? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder to a certain extent, as we all know, although certain traits are universally repulsive or appealing.

Let me refer to cars for a second. The Nissan Micra is pretty, very pretty. It's not beautiful - that's a different thing entirely. A Renault Megane coupé (one of the new ones) is sexy, very sexy.

For me, Anne Hathaway certainly has sex appeal because like the Megane she is certainly not pretty. She doesn't make me think 'aaaawwwwwwww!', but '****ing yes!!!!'. She's striking.

I've always found her to be quite unattractive, rude as that sounds. Even in Dark Knight Rises, I couldn't understand why she was selected for the part. She's cute, but definitely no sex icon. And there's nothing wrong with that!
