"Angry Birds" has already taken over our iPhones. Does it have to conquer our playgrounds, too? "Angry Bird" creator Rovio has reportedly signed a "global deal" with Lappset, a playground equipment manufacturer, to build playgrounds that emulate the "Angry Birds" set-up. Finland just opened two of them after witnessing the success of a similar idea in China.
The game has players launch birds at structures, in an attempt to topple the structures onto enemy pigs. The playgrounds offer similar activities involving slingshots, in addition to your typical playground toys modeled to resemble the game. Rovio marketing chief Peter Vesterbacka said in a statement, "The playgrounds fit perfectly into the Angry Birds world and our way of thinking."

You know when a company is desperately trying to overcome other bigger corporates when they come out with ideas like these and they've only been around for less than 2 years.
Do people not care about good, thought out games anymore? All people seem to talk about these days are Call of Duty like games and as just said, Angry Birds. Whatever happened to Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy? Those were all good games, and still are.
Where did that fan-base go. What has really caused it to deplete in such terms as something of the like of Birds, that are Angry? Shame, really.
