Angelina Jolie Might Stay Home With Kids: Should She Quit Acting?

Angelina Jolie has admitted that she may well quit acting to spend more time with her children. The “Mr and Mrs Smith” star has also said that she will probably be forced to quit as her rapidly expanding brood reach their teenage years.

Speaking to Britain’s Channel 4 News, Jolie has said that although “"I will do some films and I am so fortunate to have the job, it's a really lucky profession to be a part of and I enjoy it," she admits that “if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children."

She also points out that "I think I'm going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at home." This isn’t the first time she’s talked about quitting the business. In a 2010 interview with Vanity Fair, she said acting is “a fun job. It’s a luxury. But I don’t think I’ll do it much longer.” Do you think Angelina Jolie should quit acting?

    I don't think she will quit acting competely... For a short term, yes probably.. Up to her.. She spent almost of her life in acting following after her father's stardom. Staying home would be a shock and adifferent life style for her. I think she will not be happy staying at home after being a career woman for a long time. Just wait and see.

    I had to choose one - but I really think it is up to her. If it makes you happy to be home with your kids - go for it. But it's not for everyone.

    If she wants to stop, she should stop. But she should definitely stop making war movies. She made a film about war in Bosnia or somewhere which I haven't seen but I wonder why they keep making war movies in the US and keep having wars (US army criminals). Like film industry and war industry working hand in hand, making money from each other. And Angelina Jolie being part of that?     Obama recieved a peace nobel prize,( which is a joke to have it) and now there is a rumor that he may send the troops into Syria, which would have trigger more conflicts into whole Middle East! I'm getting tired of having those civil wars over there. We need more of troops back home and take care of our borders and take care of our own people in our country.

    Why have children if you aren't going to raise them? It isn't for everyone however the more time with kids the better. I disagree with the "quality time" philosophy because kids will often silently long for more. If parents can afford to raise their own kids all the better. Kids are happier and being a parent not a "parent removed" is enriching and the experience is one I personally have done with out regret. She will love it. In life, when it all boils down the family is what we care about over all else. Go for it Angelina!

    Raising her children should come first, and if that means she needs to put acting aside, then she should do it. Priorities in life are choices that only some have the luxury of choosing. In her case, she should be able to easily afford the choice to stay home. I think that's a good choice for her to make since she is able to afford it, no doubt her kids will benefit from having a full time Mom.

    Shes already done it all seen it all and won it all I think if she quits now she will have quit on top no one can take that away from her now its time for her to be on top as a stay @home mom not saying shes a bad mom but I just think @this age its time to focus on her mommy duties

    Angelina Jolie shouldn't completely throw in the towel on acting, and call it a
    career just yet. However, I might reccomend that she throttle things back and
    focus on her family first, and acting second. There's many a career woman
    out there with a husband or boyfriend and kids to boot. The majority of them
    do quite well.
