It’s not easy to host a big awards show, especially when the predecessor has been infamous. Love him or hate him, Ricky Gervais knew how to get people talking about the Golden Globe Awards. That’s why, despite his constantly controversial turns as emcee, they kept asking him back. But this year, the much more Hollywood friendly duo of Amy Poehler and Tina Fey took over.

Sure, they took their jabs at celebrity. The most notable came early. During their monologue, Poehler joked to director Kathryn Bigelow, “I haven't been following the controversy surrounding ‘Zero Dark Thirty.’ But when it comes to torture, I trust the woman who spent three years married to James Cameron."
Besides another little dig at Anne Hathaway’s Oscar co-host James Franco and a little friendly girl advice to Taylor Swift to take some “me time” before dating again, the funny ladies kept it pretty clean. The rest of the night included Lucille Ball-esque moments where they would sit in the audience in wacky costumes to fill in for absent nominees. All in all, it was pretty tame.

But the question that will be debated is whether or not it was as funny as Ricky Gervais’ performances had been. What do you think: Were they as good as the past host of the Golden Globes?

There were more moments when I laughed out loud.
I didn't like their dig at Taylor Swift, but I loved 'em.
That's why I was so pleasantly surprised last night. To my surprise, they were hilarious.
( * Y * )
(think about it)
It's the view a midget has when looking up at a buxom, topless woman.
See? A "different viewpoint". LOL
To each his own.
I wouldn't recommend these two buggers but they're the leading two female comediennes on British TV.
