Wow -- talk about the damage that drugs can do. Former "America’s Next Top Model" finalist Jael Strauss is fighting an addiction to methamphetamine, her family tells Dr. Phil -- and you can't even tell she's the same person.

“Do the drugs get her and take her life? Or do we get her and save her life?" Dr. Phil asks in a promo for the show, which airs Thursday. Strauss, 28, finished in sixth place on the show in 2007. Her family says her addiction has rotted her teeth and left her body covered in sores, and they fear for her life. But when Dr. Phil tries to intervene, Jael runs off, leaving it unclear whether the TV doc will be able to help the young woman. Do you think he can?

Her Before and After photos should be posted in every high school in America as a graphic depiction of how drugs destroy your looks,as well as you body..

I'd be more comfortable in my answer if there was a third option. I'm actually undecided. She has to want to save herself. Though there seemed to be a little bit of a breakthrough by the end of her segment on the show, the whole time she's been waffling back and forth, so saving her isn't going to be easy. I hope she can be saved, that she even wants to be, but only time will tell.

well if you see the before pic she used to look better the pic with black hair, then the blonde pic is how she is looking after using meth for however long she has been doing it

I just saw the episode. While it was an emotional one and I have to admit I held back a few tears. I highly doubt he can save this one. She doesn't really appear like she legitimately wants to be saved. I think she was just caught up in the moment when she agreed to treatment. But the second things start getting tough again she will start fighting for her next high.

There should be a "Depends" option, and no, I don't mean the absorbent undergarments for adults.
If she wants to be saved, he might be able to. Where she admitted to having an addiction, she may be ready to quit, only time will tell.

More like give her the opportunity or exploit her; either way someone can give you the needed tools to do better, but you yourself have to walk through those doors and commit.
