Many viewers tuned in to Wednesday night's "American Idol" in the hope of catching a glimpse of the now-infamous fight that occurred between judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey last fall. However, what actually appeared on the show was an edited version of the argument.
The original video showed Nicki angrily accusing Mariah of "running down her resume every five minutes" amid a storm of cursing, but Wednesday's footage focused instead on the events that led up to the spat, and it looks like her beef was mainly with Randy Jackson.
The argument began during country singer Summer Cunningham's audition, as Nicki was annoyed by the way that the other judges were "picking her apart" because "she made a country comment," arguing that they "make comments about everybody... in popular music, all day, non-stop." Do you think that the argument was for real or was it created simply for the ratings?

Still, a Mariah/Nicki Minaj-a-trois wouldn't be out of the question.
