After months of waiting, fans of "American Idol" can finally tune in to watch the now legendary rivalry between new judges -- and notorious divas -- Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey. They finally got their wish on Wednesday night, as the talent show had its season premiere.

Naturally, their fans -- Nicki's "Barbz" and Mariah's "Lambs" -- have had plenty to say, and Twitter was buzzing with chatter. @DermDocHomer said "I'm seriously loving Nicki Minaj as an American Idol judge! She's quite a character!" while @LisaLarter said that "@MariahCarey definitely demonstrates grace and professionalism on #idol."

But not all the reviews were so glowing. @prettybarb_kaya said "@MariahCarey it's not all about you tho," and @adrieesteeze said "Why nicki Minaj is on american idol as a judge is beyond me..." Which leads us to ask the question: Whose "Idol" camp do you belong to? Are you on Team Nicki or Team Mariah?

After watching the first episode i realize things are not as always what the media makes it out to seem. Nicki seemed so nice and Mariah seemed like a major diva and full of herself.

She is down to earth & had all of the experience in the world, with over 200mil records, 200 accolades, & a 7-octave vocal range to go with it. 18 number one hits, $550mil in net worth .... she's a diva & she has already proven herself for the past 20 years. So now she can sit & help someone else.

The show should be cancelled for ever considering the boisterous and rude ms. minaj. why do we, the audience, have to endure the hate, mean, classless tart? The media sets a tone for our culture...or not! Nicki doesn't belong on a family time show.

I grew up listening to Mariah Carey and I love her music and her voice.

i'm not for either. We need to remove attention away from divas so they can realize they are nothing special. They sing and that's about it. Outside they need to earn their respect vs expecting it. While I think Mariah handles herself better on the show, her behavior behind the scenes is where things get out of line. Anyway I don't have room for celebrity in my life. I refuse to give it to them.
