These were only some of the highlights of Wednesday night's "American Idol" finale, which crowned handsome (and talented) 21-year-old Phillip Phillips the season 11 winner. Yes, it's the fifth year in a row that a white guy won, but who's counting?

As usual, the "Idol" finale had something for everyone. Season three winner Fantasia joined third-place finalist Joshua Ledet (“Mantasia”) for a rollicking performance of Elton John’s classic, “Take Me to the Pilot.” Season five finalist Ace Young proposed to season three runner-up Diana DeGarmo, live on the "Idol" stage. And then there were the aforementioned performances from Rihanna, J-Lo and Aerosmith.

Absolutely. Great voice. I think she's going to end up like Lauren, and Jackie Evancho. She'll sell millions and no one will remember who she lost to.

Jennifer Holiday is a Grammy winner, their voices blend well together unlike Philip and John Fogerty, and Jessica will be able to cross over to different genres of songs. .

Haha. I'm so close to Leesburg, and I have a bunch of friends from there. I rooted for Phillip by default. Haha. Still, I think Colton was my favorite in general. Wish he'd never left.

No.. She has a great great voice but she's lacking in stage presence . Sorry.. not trying to be mean cause I do like her..And she will make millions of records..But hopefully she will come up with something OTHER than ballads. Something more her style.. Phillip has it all. just because he doesn't hit the high notes like her doesn't mean he can't sing. he can entertain and give people their moneys worth.

Because it finally went off the air. Idol winner is not that good at all, Josh Ledet and Sanchez were solid he was like so so, but the little junior high girls loved him. No more tuning into Idol, I want the best talent to win not the most popular.

NCIS is by far the best show out of these in my opinion and the season finale was absolutely epic! I almost cried... I hope no one died from the NCIS team after the blast... especially Ducky! :(

I don't watch any of the other shows listed.

Taylor Hicks is who you're thinking of. The sad think is Taylor was a better performer than this season's winner and his singing is equal to the winner of this season that thankfully ended. AI has had some awesome contestants since you last watched but it keeps on repeating the same mistakes in different ways.

I'm still scratching my head on how Taylor Hicks beat out Chris Daughtry and Katherine McPhee.
That was a travesty.

Taylor was a good showman but Daughtry was an incredible artist even then and Katherine was a great singer. I think Taylor beat Katherine because he was more entertaining to watch. Katherine was a little boring to watch but she sang so well. Daughtry could've beat them both easily but he fell prey to the typical ''I think he's safe so I'll give some votes to __'' trap that helped the likes of Tamyra Grey, Colton Dixon, and James Durbin get voted off prematurely from their respected seasons.
