Amanda Seyfried has been getting a lot of attention recently for her latest films
Lovelace and
Les Misérables. However, the 27-year-old actress is proudest of her work in
Mean Girls, which she filmed when she was 18. In that
Tina Fey-written comedy, Seyfried played ditzy Karen Smith alongside
Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.
Seyfried told Indiewire, “I still look back at
Mean Girls as my best work. I was so innocent. I was so green. I look back and I’m like, ‘Really, I thought I was doing a terrible job.’ But it was written so well and so wonderfully directed. Mark Waters (the director) made me look good; he made me funny. And Tina Fey wrote the coolest script of all time. I’m so grateful for every experience.”
And perhaps Seyfried has a point.
The Los Angeles Times wrote, “Apart from the Abba musical movie hit
Mamma Mia, Seyfried hasn't seen all that much success in leading roles. We're looking at you,
Red Riding Hood,
In Time,
Jennifer's Body and
Letters to Juliet. So should we really be surprised that
Mean Girls is her favorite claim to fame?"
What do you think SodaHeads? Is
Mean Girls Amanda Seyfried’s best work?
Mean Girls is my life.
Why'd you vote "yes" if you didn't even know?
Mama Mia!
Hopefully on some subconscious level I knew that, but I guess I never made the connection.
Anyways, as much as I love Mean Girls, she was WAY better in Les Mis.
