Alec Baldwin Ties the Knot... Again: Will This Marriage Last?

This weekend Alec Baldwin tied the knot for the second time. And while the actor’s first marriage to Kim Basinger ended after nine years, everyone’s hoping he’ll stick with his new bride ‘til death do them part. But there are certainly pros and cons to the union between Alec Baldwin and his new bride, Hilaria Thomas.


It’s hard not to wonder if the “30 Rock” star will have the stamina to keep up with his young wife. After all, she’s just 28 years old and he’s 54. To top it off, she’s a super-fit yoga instructor. He’s certainly trying to stay in tip-top condition. He’s lost 30 pounds over the course of their year-long courtship. And he has Thomas to thank for making him look like the leading man he once was.

But there’s another side to Baldwin that’s also been resurfacing lately. Back in his Basinger days, Baldwin got into trouble for allegedly punching a photographer who was trying to grab shots of his newborn baby Ireland. Now, 17 years later, his overprotective side seems to be rearing its ugly head. With his wedding approaching, Baldwin had not one, but two, run-ins with paparazzi on the streets of New York. But back to the point: Do you think Alec Baldwin’s new marriage will last?

    Baldwin is his own worst enemy. I'm amazed he can talk a woman into marrying him. Maybe that's why he is doing those tv commercials, he's paying those women.

    He's a very entertaining actor, but he just seems like he would be a difficult person with whom to live together, with his apparent arrogance and short temper.

    Some please tell me how he got married in a Catholic Church??? Was his first marriage annulled? I don't understand, or perhaps he and Kim never married by a priest?

    I doubt the verbally abusive jack ball has a chance, but as long as she doesn't interrupt his video games it may work out. I'm sure that emotionally, he has lots in common with a girl half his age .

    Because she is a trophy and he is a sugar Daddy,it speaks volumes for him that he chooses a wife young enough to be his daughter and then some,but she's "old" compared to a 51 year old woman and a 19 year old boy the term for which is ephebolphilia.......just plain ole yuck!

    There should have been a 'maybe' choice here because no one really knows
    about their personal life but them and God and we ain't about to get answers from
    either one of them. LoL... I chose yes because I am a positive thinker and I always
    hope for the best. It will last if they are truly in love and committed to making it work.
    There is an age gap but that never stopped anyone and love can work around that.
    The only drawback I see is Alec's volatile nature being a thorn in their relationship.
    I pray he never lifts a finger to hurt this charming lady or it'll be divorce big time again
    for this man.
