Weatherman Al Roker had an embarrassing story to tell on "Dateline" Sunday, which involved a visit to the White House after he successfully underwent gastric bypass surgery back in 2002. Spoiler alert: it has to do with pooping his pants. Check out the video below to see exactly what he had to say.

In a video posted by TMZ, Roker tells correspondent Nancy Snyderman, MD, that the surgery, which helped him to lose more than 100lbs and involved reconstructing his bowels, left him feeling "pretty safe."

However, Roker admits he "probably went off and ate something I wasn't supposed to." He then continued by saying "I'm walking to the press room … I gotta pass a little gas here ... only a little something extra came out."

But it wasn't a total disaster, as Roker explains: "I was panicking, so I got to the restroom of the press room, threw out the underwear and just went commando." Is Roker's story totally awesome or WAY too much information?

I like Al, but in every case I have known where someone opted for bypass surgery, rather than losing weight the hard (but best) way, there are bad consequences/side effects. I wouldn't have shared this on a network television interview, but it is information anyone who is considering this weight loss shortcut to consider. Would have been better put in print where those who seek to know the truth could find it.

It is a terrible thing to be totally out of control with your bodily functions after a surgery like his. It doesn't matter where you are because there's no way you can possibly stop it.

It's ok to know that celebrities are human too. The do have bodily functions you know. Our materialistic society is bent to show artificial perfection to the public. That's why I love my hd tv because I can see the bad hair or zits or any typical human "imperfection". I applaud big Al for being man enough to admit such an embarrassing story to TMZ. They are a bunch of turds anyway n would love to have gotten the story about Al from someone else so they could embarrass him with it. You go Al. Now they have no "poo poo power" over you.

No he is not joking. This is not an uncommon side effect of gastric bypass surgery, along with frequent diarrhea, and gastrointestinal discomfort every time one eats something greasy or difficult to digest. It's also something doctors who do this surgery do not advertise! Many people who have the surgery gain much, if not all, of the weight back over time, but still have to live with the unpleasant consequences of a poor choice. Just go to the gym and push away from the table!
