Are My favorite
the Eagles did the following studio albums:
Eagles (1972)
Desperado (1973)
On the Border (1974)
One of These Nights (1975)
Hotel California (1976)
The Long Run (1979)
Long Road out of Eden (2007)
Aerosmith did the following albums:
January 13, 1973 Aerosmith
March 1, 1974 Get Your Wings
April 8, 1975 Toys in the Attic
May 3, 1976 Rocks
December 1, 1977 Draw the Line
November 1, 1979 Night in the Ruts
August 1, 1982 Rock in a Hard Place
November 9, 1985 Done with Mirrors
September 5, 1987 Permanent Vacation
September 8, 1989 Pump
April 20, 1993 Get a Grip
March 18, 1997 Nine Lives
March 6, 2001 Just Push Play
March 30, 2004 Honkin' on Bobo
January '73 vs 1972, not much of a difference there. 14 albums in four decades vs 7 albums in 2 decades ( the 70's and 00's, that's it ). Live albums I don't count because there's really no production value there. Singing songs you already know just doesn't take a whole lot of rehearsing.
Aerosmith didn't have "break-up" years. They've been doing it for 30 years pretty much non-stop.

Pretty much no production value at all after 1979. The two singles from the 80's were both in 1980.

That train kept a'rollin right through the 90's.
Although the Eagles have popped up lately, they took about 20 years off. During that entire time Aersomith kept on going. Some work better than other for sure, but that's not the question. Anyone can get lucky in music. Some do more than once. I don't deem one or two good albums as making a band great. Aersomith has been cranking it out pretty much non-stop for 30 years with pretty much the same line-up.
I have no problems with my statement at all.
1-Living On The Edge
2-Crying
3-Crazy
4-Amazing
5-Falling In Love Is Hard On The Knees
6-Pink
7-I Don't Want To Miss A Thing
Thats nowhere near your statement of them having more hits in the 90s then the Eagles ever did lmao. Aerosmith only had 6 Top 40 hits in the 70s, an era everyone likes to glorify them while the Eagles had 15! go figure. The Eagles broke up in 1980 and reunited in 1994. Though Aerosmith never officially broke up, they did take a few years off and band members left the group, Perry in 1979 and Kramer in 1981. Just because theyve released more albums than the Eagles doesnt make that a positive. Eagles have never released a bad album, while Aerosmith have released plenty of crap. Night In The Ruts, Rock In A Hard Place, Done With Mirrors, Nine Lives, and Just Push Play. For the record, the Eagles are the highest selling American band in U.S. history and the 3rd highest selling band of all time behind only Beatles and Led Zeppelin, both of which are British. You also cant deny the individual success that the members of the Eagles enjoyed outside the band, Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and Joe Walsh. In fact Don Henley as a solo artist had more Top 40 hits in the 80s then Aerosmith did. Don Henley had 9, and Aerosmith had 7. The Eagles didnt...

In fact Don Henley as a solo artist had more Top 40 hits in the 80s then Aerosmith did. Don Henley had 9, and Aerosmith had 7. The Eagles didnt have much hits in the 90s because they only released one live album in 1994 called Hell Freezes Over, which released two hits off of it, Love Will Keep Us Alive and Get Over It, both of which were bigger than any singles Aerosmith put out that year, which were Deuces Are Wild, Blind Man, and Walk On Water, none of which reached the Top 40. The Eagles also have had more hits in the 2000s than Aerosmith. Aero found one huge hit in 2001 with Jaded but ever since then have not found the same success. While Eagles found success with the single Hole In The World in 2003, and the two singles off their most recent album Long Road Out Of Eden in 2007, How Long and Busy Being Fabulous. Not to mention, the Eagles are still going strong touring and selling out shows while Aerosmith is trying to regroup after a tumultous two years dealing with Steven Tyler and his childish antics and group tensions.
I do LOVE the Eagles though ~ smiles, and jus'sayin' ~
PEACE !!!
dont wanna miss a thing
