Obviously Icki Minaj shouldn't even be up there, but I'm not too concerned about her. She has no chance. Neither does Bruno... They can both roll off a cliff in a flaming barrel for all I care.
Preferably Mother Monster, she deserves the prize, but Katy Perry would be just as good!

I've been saying similar - yes, she's talented, we get it, but she's also got many flaws; NO I don't mean her appearance or weight, that has nothing to do with my judgement (if it did, I'd be one HELL of a hypocrite!! Haha)
She's NOT original, as you said, her lyrics make no sense even if one tries to look at it from a different perspective, and she made a HIT album... over a bad break-up.
... isn't that like paying tribute to someone that hurt you...??? Why not just send him flowers and a thank you card while you're at it, Adele.
But I digress.... I don't know what kind of voodoo she used to become as popular as she has, but it didn't work on me - I don't much care for her songs. "Someone Like You" is like grinding sandpaper on my ears. "Rolling in the Deep" sounds similar to that "The Black Horse & The Cherry Tree" if you slowed it down and took away the up-beat mood.
And any other song... eh. It's not my cup of tea, but now when I hear her come on the radio, I have to resist giving my radio the bird before changing the station. It's not Adele I hate per se, it's all the damn PRAISE she's gotten for work that isn't even THAT spectacular.
Everyone else has gone down in quality of music, but besides Adele I'm really rooting for Katy Perry.
