First M.I.A., now Adele. The Grammy-winning songbird flashed the middle finger at Tuesday night's Brit Awards as she was collecting her best album award. "I am so proud to be British and to be flying the flag," she was saying when host James Corden interrupted her to introduce the band Blur, leading her to flip the bird.

Adele later apologized for her actions. "I flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans," she said, according to the BBC. "I'm sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me."

The Brit Awards appeared to be sorry as well. “We regret this happened and we send our deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short this evening due to the live show over-running. We don't want this to undermine her incredible achievement in winning our night's biggest award. It tops off what's been an incredible year for her," a spokesman for the awards show said in a written statement, according to People.

Even ITV, which aired the show on British TV, seemed sorry to anger the one and only Adele. "The Brits is a live event. Unfortunately, the program was over-running and we had to move on. We would like to apologize to Adele for the interruption," a rep said, according to People.

Things must be different in the U.K., because when celebs flip the bird in America, they do the apologizing! Should be "None" as an option here.

I don't blame Adele one bit.

And even if it had happened in the US, she owes no apology at all.

It was her time being cut into, and all she wanted to do was thank her fans.

But, as usual, it was the "suits" who think they know best, and in this case, they apologized, as they should have.

I would need to say Lindsay Lohan's nail polish simply because except for Adele's giving the middle finger and Janet Jackson's so called accidental wardrobe malfunction, I didn't witness the other obscene celeb gestures. I chose Lindsay Lohan because being her immature, irresponsible,. criminal life is obscene, being that her nail polish a part of her I chose her as the winner.

You bunch of yankee twits. Adele is British. This, so-called finger, you get into such a tizzy about is a British traditions stemming from the 100 year war against the French. It's just a British hand sign that indicates she has all her fingers to fire off her arrows whenever she likes. Quit making it sound obscure and learn something before relying on your ignorance. You go Adele.

She wasn't in America, yank. How ignorant is that? Don't you read? She was at a British awards ceremony. Don't be such a twit. If you yanks are the ones who CHANGED THE MEANING OF THE MIDDLE FINGER then that's too bad. For you.....You just can't fix stupid ,can you now?

Really I don't give a crap in reality. It isn't important what she does. Maybe that is why I didn't have all the details down. There are lots more important things going on in this world besides what some over-rated over weight british singer does. Get a life really.

They are all obscene and enough already. Wow. How to show how classless you are. Adele was out of line as well. These people know in advance how much time they are allotted for their phony thank you's. Just say thank you for the award and go away. These award shows are repulsive enough. People dressing in overpriced gowns, wearing too much make-up, overpriced jewelry, patting themselves on the back every time I turn around. It is enough to make me puke. Then they go out and cry how horrible the world is and that people need to do more. Start with looking in the mirror "celebrities." Losers.

If you were invited to a ceremony representing the top performers in your business, would you not go? This is the same thing. They are the top performers in their business and are rewarded for their contributions.

If invited, would you not buy the outfit you could afford? "Overpriced" by your standards isn't overpriced to many of them. They buy the most expensive they can afford, just like you in your day to day life.

Finally, let them be as bitchy as they want to be. After all, they are entertainers. Over the top antics are why we find some of them interesting..even interesting enough for YOU to judge them. ;-) Just a thought...

It wasn't Janet Jackson's fault so I can't blame her. Adele I personally don't like her music but I watched the Brits the other night and don't blame her in the least for flipping her finger at the organizers. It was pretty pathetic cutting her off so quickly especially after they let 'the Blur' ramble on and on and on and on.
Lindsay Lohan wasn't caught up in any moment it was deliberate and has absolutely no excuse

    The definition of conspiracy is:
the act of conspiring or an agreement by two or more persons to commit a crime, fraud, or other wrongful act.

The most obscene gesture is not listed, so I selected the silliest one. All these choices are trivial nonsense and the gesture is so overused as to be meaningless, often just a joke. If you wanted a serious answer, you should have included all the Musicians and comediens (giving them that career distinction is stretching) who descend to the classless, tasteless "crotch grab" while they are performing.

MIA, Lady Gaga, and Lindsay Lohan are all pieces of trash and as disgusting as their gestures were, it was at least expected and in accordance with their character. But Adele? For such a beautiful woman to debase herself with crude speech and a vulgar gesture makes her lower herself to the garbage heap the other aforementioned celebs came from

FYI, just because you're offended/uncomfortable about something doesn't mean it's not art. And I doubt many famous people today know about painters like Mondrian, Warhol,Frida Khalo, etc, so it's nice to know that LG has a passion for art like I do.
