Sounds fishy huh, it's the basis of ALL RELIGION.

Religion is bad; devotion and faith are not.
It's easy, and understandable, for a guy like Brian Johnson, who has doubtless lived a decadent and hedonistic, "rockstar" lifestyle, to want to believe that there are no Cosmic consequences for our guilty behavior. I'm sure it makes it a lot easier on his mind; especially since he's getting a little long in the tooth.
Like anything else, though, what we call "religion" can be used for any number of purposes, by any number of people, to any number of ends.

I can only speak for myself, not others. There are those who religion really works for. It gets them through he day, week, month year, LIFE. For myself, I don't feel a need for it, and what experience I've had, have not been positive ones. I honestly don't believe that I need a religion behind me to have a spiritual relationship with our creator. I don't believe that there is any one "RIGHT" religion. there are so many belief systems out there, who knows which, if any have got it right.

I think as long as you do right by others, respect other people,then that's really all that is required of us.

To me, religions are nothing more than glorified social clubs that expect you to DONATE at each of their sessions, and the bible, well, it wasn't written by God, it was written by man. It has some good stories in it, that has some good moral lessons in it, but even so, it's not in its original form, and because of that, I question the validity of it's documentation.

This is all my own personal opinion,and I would never tell a person of Christian faith that they should not believe as it's an individuals choice,and that is as it should be.

I totally agree with you, in regards to Western religions. Eastern religions are a whole different story though. They are a lot more spiritual and less bureaucratic.

I think reincarnation is another man-made theory to make humans feel better about dying. Thus, Eastern religions are just as bad as Western religions and their cultures show little regard for human life.

BAD.....no, but some certainly fail to be all GOOD, that's for sure. It doesn't surprise me at all that this jerk would say that - after all, how else can you rationalize living the lifestyle he does and claim religion is good ? I'm glad he is retiring - he turned AC/DC in to a BAD band!

Religion can have a positive effect on people and sometimes I wish I could believe, but am way too skeptical for that. Of course it's not good when religious people get too fanatical and say you're gonna go to hell just because you don't share their believes.

He's a has been. Has beens must say something controversial to stay in the limelight.

Based on his enormous success over the past 30 some odd years and the fact that he is retiring and will no doubt be living in comfort off of the millions that he has earned, I really think that he doesn't really care if what he says is controversial or not. Just sayin'.

it's the people inside, working, speaking on the religions that are bad and watered down. it's just literature with strong emphasis on the 'chosen'. unbelievers remain blinded not to know 'pure, universal' wisdom, so they worship and speak boldly on the things they know not and will never know.

all the good they do seems to be outweighed by the holy wars and the corruption and the annoyingness...
well organised religions anyway. I mean i'm quite religious but i don't go to church, i don't follow anyone elses beliefs, i just go with what feels right with me. Avoids the whole heaps of people dying for the one god and corruption... perhaps not the annoyingness, but i try my best

No, Religion isn't bad, it's just how people use it that's bad or how they use it as an excuse to do bad things.

Religion in and of itself isn't bad. It's how we use it in life.

Most religions have great guidelines in life, but it's the ignorant stupid people in the world that take their religion too far that makes it bad.
