When you first heard about "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," you probably thought it was a spoof. Alas, it's the real deal: the history/horror flick opens nationwide today.

"The way I see it, whatever else it is, it's a huge summer movie that is, for a change, not a sequel, a prequel, a reboot, a remake, based on a toy, a video game, or a board game," author, screenwriter and producer Seth Grahame-Smith told CBS. "And that's where I come in and make my case of, like, 'Hey, let's do something strange. Let's do something offbeat, a little daring. Let's get back to doing cool genre films.'"

So far, however, the film only has a 36 percent rating on RottenTomatoes.com. "Don't let the stupid title dissuade you from seeing 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.' Let the stupid plot, the stupid history, the stupid action scenes, the stupid trivializing of slavery," gripes the The New York Post. However, The Washington Post calls it, "Both terribly silly and a lot of fun."

We have to say: This one sounds just weird enough to be somewhat interesting. From "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" to "The Twilight Saga," click through our slideshow and let us know: What's the best vampire movie?

I've clicked Buffy, although only the series was good. The movie was awful. The only Vampire film i really, really enjoyed was From Dusk 'Til Dawn. Why it isn't on the list, i have no idea.

The series was godly. The movie was hilarious because it was so brutally awful.

To be fair, me calling the Buffy series "good" was an understatement. My second favourite show of all time.

How can this list not have BLADE on it? The people who make these polls often times baffle me.

But why are Fright Night, Blade, and classics like Nosferatu and Darcula missing from the list?

I agree for all the above. Although...Nosferatu was just a cheap rip-off, meh hunger games was a rip-off of Battle Royale. GO RIP-OFFS!

    The list is missing:

And seriously, Twilight actually has 9% of the votes? Even "Vampires Suck" is better than that. blade

Where is "Other"? They ruined vampires with all of the recent movies. Dracula is of course the classic, and I also like the original Fright Night.

Interview is my favorite of the ones named above . But my very favorite is the silent Vampire movie Nosteratu. I think it was made in 1922. Now that really creeps me out!!! Watch it and see what you think.

One of my favourite movies ever, despite the negative publicity. I intend to read the book soon, which I heard was much better... But I think that the movie should be considered an independent production and not judged accordance with the book.

I'm hoping its going to be good but in all honesty

Nosferatu Is still one of the best. Also Shadow of the Vampire was good, and I really wish a copy of London After Midnight still existed, but alas. This poll really wasn't well thought out

Twilight Saga? Yeah, fat chance! For my money, Nosferatu was the first and most imaginative screen vampire. And the 1979 West German remake of Nosferatu starring Klaus Kinski and directed by Werner Herzog took it to perfection. It had stunning locations, talented actors and spellbinding music - all the elements missing from more recent interpretations.

Actually, the very best? Salem's Lot. Excellently done, great casting, fantastic acting and everything else. I checked the Buffy movie because I did like it and because there isn't a spot for Salem's Lot on your list. Buffy was a good tongue-in-cheek vampire movie. Salem's Lot was the best actually "scary" vampire movie. My opinion, of course.
