When you first heard about "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," you probably thought it was a spoof. Alas, it's the real deal: the history/horror flick opens nationwide today.
"The way I see it, whatever else it is, it's a huge summer movie that is, for a change, not a sequel, a prequel, a reboot, a remake, based on a toy, a video game, or a board game," author, screenwriter and producer Seth Grahame-Smith told CBS. "And that's where I come in and make my case of, like, 'Hey, let's do something strange. Let's do something offbeat, a little daring. Let's get back to doing cool genre films.'"
So far, however, the film only has a 36 percent rating on RottenTomatoes.com. "Don't let the stupid title dissuade you from seeing 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.' Let the stupid plot, the stupid history, the stupid action scenes, the stupid trivializing of slavery," gripes the The New York Post. However, The Washington Post calls it, "Both terribly silly and a lot of fun."
We have to say: This one sounds just weird enough to be somewhat interesting. From "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" to "The Twilight Saga," click through our slideshow and let us know: What's the best vampire movie?

...but, "Interview With a Vampire" was really good, too.
Also, where the hell are "Blade" and "From Dusk Till Dawn"?
The Horror of Dracula with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. Lee was an excellent Dracula and Cushing the best Dr. Van Helsing.
Vampires are monsters, cursed undead. They are not sparkly, sexy, gay, depressed, remorseful, loving or honorable.
On a side note...why is Dracula not an option? I mean, he pretty much invented vampires..Twilight but no Dracula? Tutut.

but my favourite has to be Dracula Dead and Loving it.
Who wrote this list? Cinema started long before the 90's. That fact that Queen Of The Damned made the list and not any of the above is madness. All of those films are average at best, other than Underworld which was quite good, and Abraham Lincoln which has a great b-movie vibe to it. Very entertaining.
But seriously Sodahead... get some writers who actually know about film. This list is saddening.
that was pretty good too :)
