ABC Cancels Missing, Pan Am And The River, Renews Body Of Proof

Hot on the heels of news of numerous series orders for ABC comes the
official cancellation of a number of shows, none of which are all that
surprising but will likely be disappointing to fans regardless. Earlier, we shared word that ABC had cancelled GCB. Three other freshman dramas failed to make the cut and will not be moving forward.
TVLine shared the unfortunate news today that, in addition to GCB's cancellation, Missing, The River and Pan Am have also been axed. Things weren't looking good for the period-drama Pan Am
last year, so it's not a huge surprise that the series hasn't been
picked up for Season 2. And the ratings weren't great for midseason
horror-drama The River and suspense-thriller Missing. It's
disappointing that they've decided not to give these series a bit more
time to build an audience, but with so many new series orders, I can't
imagine where they'd put them.
While it's bad news for these dramas, there was good news yesterday for a number of other series, including Revenge, Once Upon a Time and Grey's Anatomy. Castle and Scandal will also be back next year, along with a number of ABC's comedy series. And Deadline just reported that procedural drama Body of Proof has been picked up for a 13-episode third season, so there's cause to celebrate there.
Those shows will join a host of new dramas and comedies lined up for ABC, including Shawn Ryan's Last Resort, the Sarah Chalke-starring How To Live With Your Parents For The Rest of Your Life, and Zero Hour starring Anthony Edwards. More on those here.

Really liked that show.
At least Once Upon a Time will be coming back! That's my fave right now. Don't know how I'm going to survive without it all summer. Just know the writers are going to torture their fans with some crazy cliffhanger!
I do want to check out Revenge though. Maybe I'll watch it on Hulu or Netflix sometime this summer.
