If your mind is closed to Country Music, then of course you won't be able to appreciate Tippin's twangy-rough Southern accent. His voice is not that great, but he gets the job done, and writes most of the songs he does himself. Here's two examples of his music:

    The music's ok, but his voice sounds like one of the country singers back in the 40's with the losy equipment they had back then. Sorry but just my opinion.

    He likes the retro sound, so he doesn't doctor it up much. It's more true to his roots in Country Music that way.
