A Reality Series About Moms Who Breastfeed Older Kids Is in the Works: Great Idea, or Worst Show Ever?

In truth, the reality is reality shows are really not reality and they are really harmful to actual reality. They all provide a distorted view of the world, a "reality" brewed in a TV producer's mind and deliberately aimed at presenting humanity at its most bizarre and outrageous. To the degree the audience thanks what they are seeing is normal life, they degrade the standards for normalcy.

That said, offer me $50K per episode and sign me up.

what is this unhealthy attitude we Americans have about our bodies? I have lived in a lot of countries and by far the land of progressive ideals and free thinkers has got to be the most puritanical country on earth save most of the Middle Eastern countries. Breast are not a sex organ we all have them some have more fat than others and yes some men (straight men) can produce milk.

Americans are afraid of everything why is this, we are afraid of a nipple, we are afraid of fake fictional characters carrying a purse because our sons may grow up to be gay. I am willing to bet at some time in all American men lives as a child we had a purse, i know i did i kept my GI-Joes and Stretch Armstrong in it and i can assure anyone i am as far away from being gay as a man can get.

News flash America they are only breast, yes we men love to look at them and yes they make women more attractive, but do we really know why? Get over it America their breast, they provide some of the best food a child can have.

this is redicelous, breastfeeding a child after it is of an age to eat solids goes beyond that special bond, every woman, man and his dog knows the stimulation/arousal of having your breasts fondled, suckled. i dont see a problem when nursing babies, but beyond solids, you"ve got to wonder... it was said to me, nursing a baby thats find but when do they start looking at it as a form of childabuse. he had a blooby good question, that i couldnt give him an answer for. who old is to old to be breastfeeding. if i in the middle of a plaza whip out my milkers and start to feed an 8yr old child, how would this be seen?

A lot (most) of the so-called "Reality Shows" are stupid... and quite a few of them aren't even based on reaity at all...

why would they think the world or America for starters, (till it comes to us) would like to sit down and watch a bunch of women flopping big ass saggy boobies out to feed their kindy aged kids, and listen to them defend their reasons .

i can tell you dont watch enough of American TV. We hate sex but love media generated violence. Hell all you have to do is recall how the boob shot seen across the world made the American right go crazy. I am not fooling the rest of the world, the world knows how sexually repressed Americans are.

well some of you sure dont act it. most of the shows i see from over there, real ppl shows, surf patrol, cops etc, there seem to be a lot of easy looking skanks running around there blind happy to give it up to someone or another.. at least that what it shows , unless they are just a bunch of prickteasers.

I have nothing against mothers breastfeeding their children in public. But can they please stop pushing the envelope, trying to make the most bizarre "reality" TV shows? Most people just don't see any reason, why older children need to be breastfed. And it's too narrow a topic, to base a stupid TV show on anyway.

Is it any wonder that more people are cutting off the TV channels, and streaming data off the internet to their TVs? TV is getting too weird, and too much an irrelevant waste of time.

Most of the time my TV is on, I am watching YouTube on it. I can't stand the corporate-controlled mainstream misleadia.

I saw a one hour documentary on this subject and that was enough. I honestly can't see there being enough material for a series.

There will be a lot of interest to start off with... mainly teenage boys hoping to see a nipple!

...if they want viewers into incest and pedophilia. There are few groups of people I can see watching this. One group are mothers who like the sensation of breastfeeding so much they want justification to continue beyond what is typical. Most Americans don't eat healthy enough for breastfeeding to really be beneficial once the child can eat food. Then there are those who would watch and have sexual fantasies about children and incest.

Seems to me the producers are using the Time magazine article to capitalize on "sex sells". Time turned suckling kids into a mainstream news story. Creating a reality show following the article gives the show "legitimacy". But I just don't see average tv viewers being interested in this. The two mentioned groups will likely make up the vast majority of the audience. Not something the producers should be proud of.
