So she was a model when she was younger most of us have lingerie and bikini photos floating around somewhere. Hers aren't anything out of the ordinary for that career and she looked great.Should we now limit what someone who modeled possibly to put herself through school can get a degree in? Ridiculous! It's not porn and It was 17 yrs ago get over it. AMR

My vote doesn't mean I think she should win her lawsuit, but, rather, that I think her employer was more likely reacting to its projection of public perception. But, even if the public's opinion clearly demonstrated support for the employer, I think the test should be the effect of the photos on her ability to do her job (where the effect on public opinion is rightfully considered as a factor, but only as one among many), which the thread intro doesn't indicate was the case.

Racy photos from 17 years ago? Dude, gimme a break. I can understand if she was an active adult actress or escort, but she's a teacher now. End of discussion.

We all have done stupid things in our lives. What was her job performance now? She should be judged by that and nothing else.

Please you have got to be kidding. Who cares? As long as she is not passing them out to students, it has zero to do with her current career.

Racy Photos?!?!?! She's not naked nor was it distasteful. A young sexy lady wants to show off her body in a professional way and she should be punished for it? What was the committee that vote her off? A bunch of old, unattractive, lonely, angry women.

Firstly, these photos were taken nearly two *decades* ago. It's ridiculous for her employer to punish her for something that's so old. Secondly, even if those photos were recent, it shouldn't be any of their business. What she does on her own time - even if it's an orgy every day after work - should not reflect on her employment status. Does she do her job well? Yes? Then that's all that matters (barring illegal activities, of course, but that should go without saying).

Where is this so-called school? With a senior staff so obviously lacking in perspective or common sense, I'd think twice about sending my kids there.

But it also needs to check into the last 17 years of many inept teachers who should have been out the door years ago. Where are the Teachers Unions' ethics on that?

if everyone's employers started cracking down on every little thing they deem "offensive" or "unsavory", even if it was a long time ago, we'd all be out of jobs.

I think that people that are going to be in a position of authority and should be setting an example for the younger people should always think before they do something because even if you do something during a time ahead of your position you have a possibility of having that action come forward and you might just have to pay for it later.

thinking before you act is something a teenager almost never does, so you're implying that millions of lives should be ruined for one measly indiscretion done on a whim.
    get off my planet.

That's where family guidance and morals play a roll. Then you don't have to regret anything that you might have done when you were a younger person...

Wish there was a link. But damn, Who cares what she did in her past, pretty much everyone has a regret or 2. And Im betting you when a 17 yr old girl walks in her office and says "Geez, Ms.Whateverherlastnameis , I really dont know what I want to do with my life you know? I want to make good money but I dont want to sit behind a desk all day> I want ADVENTURE!" Ms.Whateverhernameis is like "Porn."....seriously.

If you gotta play, you gotta pay.

Doesn't matter how long ago it happened.

God made mothers so that they could warn their daughters about such behavior.

So all models who do lingerie (which is plastered over every billboard on the planet) and such are degrading themselves and should never ever ever ever find a career later on where they are giving back to the community and helping people.

Yes, I'm blowing this out of proportion but I'm pretty damned passionate about what people DO with their lives, not what people THINK of them.
