Rapper 50 Cent (né Curtis Jackson) was hospitalized on Tuesday after being involved in a car accident. According to his official website, Jackson's bullet-proof Chevy Suburban was rear-ended by a Mack Truck driven by a 61-year-old man. Lindsay Lohan also collided with a semi a few weeks ago, but that was her fault. There was nothing 50 Cent could do about this one.

Jackson's SUV nearly flipped over on impact, but fortunately he and his driver escaped with minor injuries. The man responsible for the accident claims the load in his truck shifted and caused him to lose control of the vehicle, just as traffic suddenly slowed ahead of him. 50 Cent was placed on a stretcher and transported to a Queens hospital, where he was treated for back and neck injuries.

I drive a "big rig" semi for a living, some people have no respect for our size and the amount of weight we are hauling, there should be no need for people to be nervous as long as you remember we can not always see you and we need allot more room to stop than you.So don't hang out along side us and do not cut in front of us and you will be fine..usually.

I was harassed by a big rig in North Carolina and tired to get away from him. Then his tire exploded next to me and pushed me off the side of the road.

I used to drive them for a living. Now I'm a dispatcher. I'll tell you that truck drivers are the safest drivers on the road. I feel more safe around them than I do 4 wheeler drivers.

I either let them keep their pace way ahead of me, or I stay lanes over out of their way.
Not really scared but I respect the drivers of the big rigs, and they give the love back to me on the highways.

Lindsay Lohan is an idoit....she could drive into a damn hurricane and wonder why its windy....50 cents driving probably isnt worth 50 cents.... One thing is... People dont respect big rig trucks...I know I work in public safety....8 of 10 big rig accidents end up not being the big rig drivers fault. People not paying attention.

They terrify me, especially when there are multiple of them at one time. What I hate the most is how their supposed to stay in the right lanes where the traffic is suppose to be slower(55mph or so), and they do.. but they're faster than the left lane! Dx.. It's like my dad tells me, "Just stay away from them!"

My uncle drove a big rig and died in it. I've seen far too much idiocy behind the wheel of something so large to want to be anywhere near them. There are stupid drivers in all kinds of cars, but at least if I get side-swiped by the average vehicle because the driver didn't check their blind spot, I'd have a chance of making it out okay.

Rig Drivers are professionals it's the idiots on four wheels that's dangerious I wonder what the rapper was doing...texting, toking...or he certainly was an idiot about the laws of physics bet he thought if he hit the brakes the truck would 'back off'

Naturally; I am a nervous driver on the freeway.

I do get that gnawing feeling, that the rig is going to plummet over, right onto the vehicle. Did I mention that I suffer from an over-active imagination? Lol.. Not the best combo.

I try to keep a controlled speed, and a safe distance while I'm in their vicinity.

I make my mom nervous. I got my permit around two weeks ago and have droven a car twice since. Gladly only in a neighborhood of town houses that are off from the main roads.

Going too slow can be as dangerous as too fast. Try practicing in empty parking lots or in alleys.

It's a really quiet neighborhood that no one ever visits.the main side streets surround it. It's like one of those townhouse neighborhoods.

If you live by my rule "Semi Trucks always have the right of way" you have nothing to worry about. This rule has served me well for over 30 years and I have never come close to being hit by a Truck.

I don't mind big rigs, they are just trying to do their job as careful as they can. They get blamed more than the people who got hurt in their tiny vehicles. With how some people drive now days, I'm not surprised with the accidents anymore.

Most of them are better drivers then me and have been doing it for a lot longer as well. People just tend to forget that they do not stop on a dime.

I get nervous/cautious anytime I am around a big truck.

Yes the size of it makes me nervous but what makes me extra cautious are the other drivers. Some drivers just don't get that when they cut off a truck, they can't stop on a dime. It takes time for them to slow down.

I remember I was driving down a highway and some a*&hole; decided to cut off the truck driver. Thank god I anticipated his/her move and sped up because if I didn't I would have been dead/seriously hurt. The truck couldn't stop in time and it flipped on it's side so he wouldn't hit the car in front of him. The truck driver was okay (thank god, and there wasn't any traffic behind him thankfully) but it's idiots like that driver that can cause huge accidents and kill a lot of people. It's not always the truck drivers fault for those huge accidents, it the reckless drivers who cut them off.
