I hate to say this, but a 300 pound twelve year old is not only too heavy to play football with other 12 year olds, but is too heavy to exist, but has somehow managed to, probably because of his overindulgent, stupid, lazy parents. I'm all for parents being allowed to raise their kids more or less as they see fit, but this sounds like a good case for state intervention. How does anyone allow a 12 year old to weigh 300 lbs? That is obviously abnormal.

Rules are rules. As a 7th grader, he isn't allowed to play because he's over the weight limit of 135 pounds (more than double the limit) and the Pee Wee League expects such kids to play on their Middle School team ranter than in Pee Wee league. His coach should have known that and not gotten the kids expectations up.

This child would simply crush the other children.

They, I suppose, are trying to protect the smaller kids from being stomped on by him. 300 pound for a 12 yr. old is terrible and maybe this is a wake up call for him and the parents.

Could this kid actually stomp, or would he just roll? A 300 pound 12 year old? He's fatter than he is tall.

His excuse for not going the normal route is that he wants experience? Why doesn't he just go to practice and scrimmage for a year?

Come on. It's not that hard. The guy is two times the size of everyone else playing. Wht kind of "experience" does he hope to get playing with guys that can't compete with his size?

I don't feel sorry for him. He needs to do what people his size have been doing for a long time.

He's too big. He could kill a smaller child. They should let him play with the big boys.

300 Pounds is not pee wee the least bit. It's a shame..yes...ain't the boys fault. The parents are at fault for this child's loss.

He might injure another player, accidentally.
It's not like he can't play football at all... he can play in school, the article says.

Fair and not fair at the same time.. I can see that he may pose a threat to other players but he's only a kid.. It's crushing his dreams here...

But damn, what a big kid .-.

His size and weight could hurt the other kids. He should be allowed to play in an older league where his weight is comparable with the other players.
