2012 Teen Choice Awards Are Handed Out: Who Most Deserved Their Wins?

On Sunday night, the 2012 Teen Choice Awards were held at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles, California. The event was hosted by only-a-teen-for-one-more-month singer/actress Demi Lovato and not-a-teen-but-I-play-one-on-TV ‘Glee’ star Kevin McHale. And all the usual suspects arrived to pick up their super-sized surfboard trophies.
Taylor Swift sailed home with five awards -- Choice female Artist, Choice Female Country Artist, Choice Single by a Female Artist for “Eyes Open,” Choice Country Song for “Sparks Fly” and Choice Movie Voice for “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax.” This makes her lifetime total 20. Justin Bieber also took home five surfboards putting his all-time count at 12. And on the TV front, “Glee,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “Pretty Little Liars” racked up three awards each.
But the big news of the night was the battle of the teen movies: “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” versus “The Hunger Games.” The vampire flick had ten nominations, but only won three awards. Still their trophies included one for The Ultimate Choice Award, the most special honor of the night. And their three new surfboards, brought the film’s grand total to a whopping 41 since 2008. In contrast, “The Hunger Games” and its cast received six nominations and won all six awards (if you also count Choice Book) making it one of the biggest winners of the night. +10Yeah the TCAs aren't anything special and more about popularity instead of quality but Hunger Games just happens to have both!

Only 3 awards?
3 awards is 3 too many...
The only other decent thing is Taylor Swift, but everyone loves the Hunger Games. I've never seen Pretty Little Liars, so I can't judge that. Glee is just... ugh, I almost threw up when my cousin was watching it. I haven't seen The Vampire Diaries yet, so I can't say anything about this either. Twilight is the worst of these, by far, though.
Twilight is HORRIBLE. Taylor Swift acts all sweet and such but she's kind of a mean person so she doesn't deserve much and her music isn't great-- country just doesn't sound good.... Glee is the same thing every episode-- kids singing about their problems, the show gets boring pretty damn quick. and Justin Bieber is a wannabe and his music is terrible, can't listen to it without feeling like my ears are bleeding.
