2012 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, something is wrong here!!

I recently found myself on a gig in Cleveland Ohio where on a day off I was able to go to the Rock & roll Hall of Fame & Museum. As interesting as it was, I was quite surprised at just how many of my favorite bands and artists were not honored in any way! In light of the 2012 Inductee list, I was reminded by my radio station (100.3 The Sound in Los Angeles) about the list of groups they found not in the Hall. Names like:
Stevie Ray Vaughn, Steppenwolf, 3 dog night, YES, Dick Dale, Deep Purple, The Moody Blues, the Doobie Brothers, Jethro Tull, Boston, Styx, The B-52's, Chicago, Roxy Music, Kiss, Steve Miller Band, Supertramp, Jan & Dean, Bad Company, Dire Straits, Heart, Peter Gabriel, Lou Reed, Rush, Emerson-Lake & Palmer, The Cars, War, Cheap Trick, Procol Harum, ELO, Journey, and many more!!
In as much as I like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and I think Donovan was long overdue to be inducted, The Beastie boys??? Come on! When the members of the Hall make selections like the Beastie Boys over any blind choice from the list above, it cheapens the selection process! Really...The Beastie Boys over Stevie Ray Vaughn?? Or YES, or ELP?? It makes you think this poll should be listed under News & politics because someone must be getting kickbacks from this election! What do you think?

+3Wait a minute Styx,Stevie Ray,Supertramp, CHICAGO.......CHICAGO!!!!!! are NOT in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame? No HEART??? Dreamboat Annie Magic Man??? As much as I love ABBA ( I love them) THEY are in the hall but those guys aren't??? WHAT THE HELL??? More Than a feeling??? where were these people in the 70's???
All it takes to confirm this to me is the exclusion of Rush. 24 gold records and 14 platinum (3 multi-platinum) and these guys are not in? WTF????? They should be in on Neil Peart's drumming alone!
Not that they care, and the way it looks will probably still be putting out new original works and touring to sold out shows long after the Hall of Fame has faded into history
Add to that the other accomplished acts excluded, and the nothing loser inductees..... Well, this institution has about as much credibility as the Nobel Peace Prize committee
