2010: Worst Year For Mainstream Films?

It's safe to say that every year Hollywood releases 50-60 mainstream films that pretty much suck - and it's expected. Although this has been said many times this yer, I think 2010 takes the cake for the worst year in film. This year we had three comedies and three action movies that had the same exact premise. Four beloved classic animated teleision shows were adapted into live action with awful results. That's just the surface.

The quality in most animated films in particular has gone way down hill.reply -
Yeah it used to be ten years ago when there were about 10 excellent animated films. Now it's just left up to Pixar and foreign animated films.reply - Scott rockfan 2011/01/03 13:49:00
I don't like computer animation as much as traditional animation. Most of the time it feels fake and emotionless compared to old style animation.reply
