First of all, I think the United States is the greatest nation on the face of the earth. Do I think it is perfect? No, but there is nowhere else I would rather live. As a nation, we have a history both proud and shameful. Nevertheless, it is our history and should be taught and not rewritten. If we fail to remember the mistakes of our past, we are doomed to repeat them.

I do not believe that the color of a person's skin says anything about them other than the fact that they have a different ancestry. We all have differences and it is what makes this nation great, we are a melting pot of all nationalities and creeds. A person should be judged by their actions, yes I believe in personal responsibility. It isn't always easy to admit when we're wrong, but I believe that it allows us to grow as human beings when we do. Humility may be old fashioned, but I still embrace it.

I enjoy the flood of ideas on a plethora of topics that come out here on Soda Head. I like a spirited debate and don't expect everyone to agree with me, but I do expect intellectual honesty. If someone makes a good point and it isn't necessarily mine, I will complement them on it.

Some of the people I would like to meet are actually no longer with us. Topping the list is Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Stewart, General George Patton, General Douglas MacArthur, any surviving member of the USS Indianapolis, George Lucas, Stephen Spielberg, Preston Tucker, Jessica Alba, Patrick Stewart, Edgar Allen Poe, Samuel Clements, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, and the list goes on and on.

Writing is my greatest interest. I like politics, not a member of a party, but I am conservative (mostly on fiscal issues because government has no business in other issues), I enjoy camping and high school sports.

I am an avid history nut. I thoroughly enjoy learning everything I possibly can about this world we live in. History is something that I feel our education system overlooks, I could write volumes on what I believe is the motive for this, but this is supposed to be for my interests. I am also interested in motorcycles, old ones and new, they are all pretty cool and I have been riding them for over 25 years now.

I love music and I enjoy most any kind, rock, pop, country, jazz, classical, etc.
