Blooming network, CWTV, seems to have had a rocky start over the last six months for their newly formed mashed network made up of part The WB and part UPN. Many discussions took place regarding their initial "Free to Be" campaign, which seemed to involve making nearly every single actor/ess look as ugly as possible and splash that look all over larger cities in the United States. Once the network launched, they quickly ran into ratings issues with their newest show, which was pulled fairly quickly and replaced with an older show.
Now that we're in the mid-season for the CW, everyone is curious as to how the baby network is fairing, given its rough start. Rumors go around that shows are having to market themselves rather than the CW taking that burden onto themselves (yet, travelling concerts in the summer, pre-CW launch, seems perfectly fitting).
We all knew and expected that it may take some time for stragglers to "find" the CW and stay attention, but with the current and upcoming line-up with shows focusing on beauty pageant contestants and their relationships with Mommy Dearest, many are worried that the fledgling may never fly.
What do you think? Will the CW make it? Or will it crash and burn and eventually take the same destined fate its parents were bound to face?
