For once Luke-Jones we agree. This was a great bit of acting... the truth of the history is that Spartacus hated everyone equally and was one mean mother. I don't believe they would have all claimed to be Spartacus as the movie depicted. He was dictatorial... just as was the Roman leader and ruler of Rome... Caesar, if you will. Crassus. Marcus Crassus, was an ambitious aristocrat with the non-ostentatious manner traditionally valued among Romans. Crassus was a former slave trainer. The two actually thought each other was a mental defective being followed by weaklings... Spartacus found out that the power of Rome was in her numbers... not might and Crassus became Julius Caesar.
