Do you think the theory about whats gonna happen in 2012 is getting people united or Just freaking them out and against eachother?

I dont think anythings gonna happen, but im not asking you if you do or not. Im asking you that if you think THOSE WHO DO BELIEF in that are getting united or against eachother for some reason?

    They seem more interested uniting to see the remake of When Worlds Collide than freaking out.

    Some say there is an 11th our surprise pending on December 2012.

    I am sure some will be brought together just like in the year 1999 when everyone thought we were going to go back to the freaking dark ages because our computers hadn't made smart enough to handle the Y2K thing. And for others it is going to make them paranoid and cause them to spazz out towards one another and the rest of us will sit back joined in the general head shake and laughter mocking the craziness of it all. So over all it will probably bring a lot of people together.

    I believe that people can make things happen just by believing they will. We are so compacted as a society that the overpopulation is causing people to behave erratically and anything is possible. We have reached a boiling point and the pot is about to go over.

    I believe in climate change, it changes every year. Sometimes it is an extremely warm winter like when El nino stirres up the waters south of texas, or has twelve foot snow drifts like when I was a kid. , or summer never seems to come as happened during the little ice age. Global warming has already been proven a hoax, and the only person benefitting is al gore and company. He can't stop now even though it is proven to be a false premis, or the money would dry up. A one degree average temp rise is not global warming, so only mother nature has anything to do with the global movements of weather and she has a good balancing act. ( I know she is allegorical).

    Tell that to the species who are dying because they can't keep up with even incremental degrees of temp change. I give you credit for being sporting whenever we tangle, unlike those snipe-and-block people, even though we rarely agree.

    When we don't agree, it is an opportunity to learn. I am always open minded, and if you convince me, I change. Also I like people to look at my reasons and see if there is a valid point to ponder. Species are lost every day and we can't stop that. Nature has its own schedule for exterminating species. If we kill off one, it is because we too are a part of the natural world. Something always fills the niche. When we are gone, another will take the dominate spot. Look at all the hominid species that died out before us. We are not that special.

    If we kill off insects and animals, it negatively impacts our own ecosphere by disrupting the natural order. I guess your logic is fine for someone with a death wish. I have a very special 5 year old boy to think of.

    Bees are dying off. If they become extinct, who will pollinate future crops? It could be a man made phenomenon. So you haven't pressed you debate far enough. Whales are beaching in increased numbers because of sonar equipment, at least theoretically. Bird crashes into buildings with large glass windows happen because we built in their migratory path. These things are not nature. I have two new born great grand children. I too am concerned, but I still don't think the global warming issue is the culprit. Cutting back the forests is having an impact. Building large bare spaces so we can have big cities is causing harm. We don't disagree on the fact that man is destroying the planet. It is just the methods used that seem to be in contention.

    Hopefully the only big thing happening in 2012 will be the Election of someone other than Barack Obama.
    As far as I can see he is freaking plenty of people out and turning the poor against rich, Black against White, Union against non Union, etc.
    On the other hand the Tea Party Movement is uniting as one people against Obama.
