I work at home now and I always have the music cranked up, along with the Sci-Fi channel and maybe a game in the PS3 going. (I like to multi-task)

This summer I went to a dart tournament where I had a lousy partner (not that great myself) and even worse opponets. We all threw terrible and the F-bomb was having a field day. Darts were being slammed into the board as tempers flared. I took about five minutes of it then plugged in my IPod, cranked up my Basshunter and just had a good time all by myself.

Trance and Techno are my favorites, but I listen to just about anything. I like today's alternative rock rather than the mainstream stuff. 80s, 70s, 60s I like and I can tolerate country. Lowest on my musical totem-pole is rap (except the M C Hammer and Will Smith stuff) and jazz.

Yeah, and the chinese tried to accuse Michael Phelps of cheating because he listened to his IPod before every meet. Said it increased his oxygen levels. LOL

It is nice to hear background music while working, don't know how the people in the stores will handle it, listening to Christmas music from Nov lst thru Christmas.........that might make you somewhat insane after a few weeks!

If the manager says music is ok to use while working then I will. If not then I do not bother just sing in my head to pass the time away.

I love to listen to music while I work. It doesn't really matter what type as I grew up #6 of 9 children & I was introduced to just about everything through my older brothers & sisters. I'm 50 and I can honestly say that the only music I don't care to listen to is Heavy Metal. Love the oldies like Soldier Boy, Johnny Angel. Anyone remember Hermits, Hermits, Grass Roots. I also love to listen to much of the Soul Music love songs & most of the 70's & 80's. How about Cindy Lauper "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". Don't forget Cher & Tina Turner. When it comes to music I'm not picky.

depends on what I'm doing, on whether I'm sleepy, I'm calm, etc.
Ranges from SOAD, to Bach, to Justin Timberlake, to musicals (broadway, disney, etc.,etc), to Jobim, to Amp Fiddler, to Tiesto, to Mingus. :-D

LOL you might want to rethink your sign. With the 70s and 80s amplified rockers growing older, they NEED the music turned up loud.

I have to keep one ear open for my supervisor, so I don't get caught surfing Sodahead in between work. ;) I just shuffle all my music on my ipod, which makes for a nice surprise. My tunes are jazz, country, pop, alternative, latin, asian, and comedy.

Sometimes, depending on the task. If I need to do something quickly that I don't enjoy and that takes while, I listen to angry punk alternative. If I'm plunking along on some boring but not fast-paced, I pick classic rock. Most of the time, I just go without music because I can't settle on what I want to listen to.
