Biggest Drop in Government Revenue Since Great Depression

- The recession is starving the government of tax revenue, just as the president and Congress are piling a major expansion of health care and other programs on the nation's plate and struggling to find money to pay the tab. Brain-dead liberals will never stop blaming Republicans (oh, don’t forget Bush) for the downfall of this economy. A rational argument is useless. When have republicans ever come up with nationalization of the banks, auto industry, insurance companies, the housing industry, infinite bailouts, and now medicine? Real republicans champion tax reductions, fiscal responsibility and limited government spending. Fat-cat Democrats are the antithesis of that doctrine and hypocritically despise any entity which makes money and is successful. After all dust settles, and the successful have been wiped out by liberal leftist greed, so goes the tax revenue.

It's no wonder China is nervous about continuing to finance our debt. After seeing these numbers I would be nervous too.

It only took the dems 2 years controlling the government to kill the economy. The president doesn't make laws. I suppose quadrupling the deficit will be a good thing now that Obomb is president.

...of course letting them grow the deficit is a good thing.

When the Republicans gamble it's "Giving the Rich your share of the American Dream".

When Democrats hand the US Climate Action Partnership a license to steal through "Carbon Credits", let Trial Lawyers rape us through Defensive Medicine or through us paying for Settlements via increased prices on goods and services,
letting Big Business gouge consumers through "Health Care" or keeping Defense Contractors on the Tit by moving the cannon fodder from Iraq to Afghanistan they're just doing the "People's business".

Pay no attention the man behind the curtain - he may act like a Republican, he might be a thieving bastard like them, but his compassion, concern and sharing some of the loot with the less fortunate makes him "our son of a bitch".

I don't know where you've been...Wild Bill Clinton, in 1999, signed the deregulation legislation which was the seed of the credit crisis, ("everybody should own a home "), and your messiah ok'd Bush's stimulus package. Your messiah has since quadrupled the deficit all on his own, and it is now projected to be over 20 trillion dollars in less than 10 years...
