"Dear Elected Official
Or is it now appropriate to just say comrade?
A rhetorical question
Where is my representation?
I am a Vietnam Vet, Small Business Owner and a College Professor. I do not purchase anything I can not afford and I have always paid my bills, and always on time. I served my country and worked three jobs to save for the future. I risked everything to start my business. I provide jobs, I teach college in an effort to give back, and unlike others in our government, I pay my taxes. Now that we are becoming a Socialist country, I don't see anyone representing me.
Ayn Rand in Atlas Shrugged was correct “The government now treats the incompetent individuals who did not do the right thing, who purchased houses, and cars they could not afford, and the businesses who wreck their companies, as victims, while treating those resourceful business owners who manage to make a profit and feed families as recipients of illegitimate gains”.
We are actually living Rand’s Atlas Shrugged, Orwell’s 1984, and Animal Farm and Huxley’s Brave New World and I don’t see you, Mr. elected official, doing anything to stop it. I think it is time to get angry and if your fellow representatives are going to spew the mantra of socialism then shouldn't we start calling them what they are , SOCIALIST, or could it be you are one as well?
Why do I never see those elected to represent me on CNN, Fox, and talk radio calling these people Socialist? Oh, we occasionally hear you talk about the problems with “the other party”, are you kidding me I am talking about all parties. Why are you guys so scared of using that word socialist?
Why don't I see hard questions such as "Who and how is this debt going to be paid? And please don’t insult me with quotes such as “We need to spend less”, you never have and you never will. Or is it that you are really proud of a $11.6 trillion debt and a $1.7 trillion deficit, and let us not forget the $500 billion in interest each year while all along taking your salary and all the life-long benefits of being a representative of the people and not to mention being exempt from the same laws you pass for us.
Why are you not screaming about stealing my money and paying yourself a salary of $174,000 plus benefits and your favorite secret of all; the Capitol's physician, where a $2 million-per-year staff of nearly 20 doctors, nurses and technicians are at your service?
Wow! I bet you are really worried about socialized medicine.
Why are you not screaming about the “New Black Panthers” being allowed to destroy our democracy by intimidating people at the voting booth and getting away with it? Could it be you are spending too much time enjoying and protecting all the benefits and power you have elected for yourselves?
All right, let me see if your response is something like this, “Well I voted against that when it was in committee, or we need to do a government study on that very subject”. I know politicians have a PhD in spin but please, for once in your life do something right and SCREAM about what is happening or at least admit that you prefer socialism over free enterprise and Laissez-fair capitalism.
At the end of the day you had better remember that all this money comes from the profits of businesses. If capitalism is the golden goose and profits are the golden egg, why are you allowing the destruction of the golden goose by the implementation of socialism?
You can take every corrupt business in the United States add them all together and they are not even in the same hemisphere as the corruption, waste, and arrogance of our own elected officials, a.k.a. the U.S. Government, yes I am talking about you.
If you don’t believe this get up off your lazy butt, start you own business, and give someone a job and stop stealing from those who do.
Your vote is not enough; we need to hear you scream from the rafters of the unjust direction the Socialists are taking us in.
Do you care about our sovereignty?
Do you care about democracy?
Do you care about jurisprudence?
Do you care about the flood of Illegals?
Do you care about free enterprise?
Do you care about the collapse of the dollar?
Do you care about the coming inflation?
Do you care about higher taxes for everyone?
Do you care about anything other than your own powerbase and the benefits you have elected for yourself?
Where is my representation?
Apparently many individuals are having trouble understanding what socialism actually is. Socialism is:
A political system of communal ownership: a political theory or system in which the means of production and distribution are controlled by the people and operated according to equity and fairness rather than free market principles.
This is what you have allowed to happen in the United States such as the communal ownership of the auto industry, banking industry, housing industry, education, and health care.
Let us put this in a way so everyone can understand. Socialism is stealing our hard earned money and giving it to those who don’t deserve it including our elected representatives.
In other words;
From those according to their ability to those according to their need…Karl Marx
Oh what luck for rulers that men do not think…Adolf Hitler
The problem with Socialism is you eventually run out of others peoples money…Margaret Thatcher
How about kicking some Socialist A** and stop punishing me for doing the right things?"

So true ! We must be from the same era. The same frustration. Like the zombie movies of the 70's ,The virus didn't take on us,,,the brainwashing did not take hold on us. They took our country from the inside. What do we do next? Put a retainer on a good lawyer and start shooting polititions ? This isn't a revolution as much as it is the new civil war. So many are against us .View thread

The thing with Ayn Rand was more against communism than against socialism as socialism is the lesser evil. The present concept of socialism in this country with the political correctness is more in line with the evils Rand talked about. I first read the Fountainhead in the series of books many many years ago where the character of Ellsworth Toohey personified communism. And if I ever met a person with that name I will smack him on the spot. The thing was the corruption of the society to force on the mind of the creative to conform to their good not his. Most of the successful in this society are ass kissers who use contact not ability to get ahead. They use correctness over innovation the same way. What you have to keep in mind is that the corruption feeds upon the host til it consumes it and then feeds upon itself. They can take your money but they can't take your mind which they desire most. - +1 raves Formulabruce October 11, 2009 02:05:50
