This is a response to the issue of long-time Christian song-writer, Ray Boltz, who became know to me through the song, "Thank You!"
I want to be unequivocal about this. I makes no difference who says what from human lips. If the message is not Truth (i.e. equal to The Holy Writ of Scripture,) then the human speaker is WRONG!!!!!!!!!
I care very much about good social interaction, but I will NOT sacrifice Truth on the altar of Social Acceptance. Though my intentions are often misinterpreted on Earth, my true purpose (as is the purpose of any real, blood-bought, heart-washed, "small-minded," "Jesus-only, Jesus-always, Jesus and nobody but Jesus" Christian) is that others may know the Savior the way He demands to be known...His Way, as seen, understood, accepted, and applied...by Eternity's Values to the exclusion of ALL Earthly temporal values that do not agree with Eternity's values.
Truth will not be compromised! It's Jesus' Way, or "the Broad Way that leads to destruction!"

We recently learned of gospel music writer Ray Boltz declaring that he is homosexual, and making the statement that “this is how God made him.” He went on to declare that he was not interested in debating about Scripture with regard to his situation. He and his wife of many years were divorcing. I understand that he said that he felt much better now that he was no longer having to lie about his sexual behavior. He seemed to be claiming that this was evidence that he was now “closer to God.”
This is truly dangerous age in which we live. There are so many flaws in Mr. Boltz’s thinking that it is hard to know where to start. If he is claiming, as some have, that homosexuality is “genetic,” the faulty thinking should be obvious. If homosexual behavior were caused by genes, those genes should have long ago been eliminated from the gene pool by selective breeding (assuming that homosexuals have fewer and fewer children) and homosexuality should have become increasingly rare to the point of extinction.
If he means that there might be a “genetic component,” as there may be in alcoholism, would he want to claim that alcoholics should just relax, have a drink, and enjoy being “the way God made me.” No reasonable person would advocate that.
Most difficult from a spiritual point of view, is his rejection of Scripture as the basis for his morality. Without God’s word, what is left, to guide our behavior? What is left is the relativism of culture, and my own self-justification. The Scripture makes it clear that we are all born with an inclination to sin. We start as sinners. That means we violate God’s law very “naturally.” God did not create that situation; man’s rebellion against God’s law created that state of affairs. Anyone who fails to appreciate this, is unable to genuinely repent, and is without repentance there is no remission of sin; there is no salvation.
One of the great challenges of the Christian life is that we struggle against this “old nature” even as God works in our lives to make us what He wants. A simpler and more Biblical picture of Mr. Boltz’s situation is that he has “been given over to the lusts of the flesh.” The general Biblical principle is that sex outside marriage is sinful; whether it is homosexual, or heterosexual, is not really relevant, although in the Bible, homosexuality is very strongly condemned as an “abomination” to God.
In this age in which the most disgusting and pitiful perversions of God’s intended relationships between men and women are glorified and held up as trendy and attractive, Christians need to be coming back to God’s Word to establish standards of behavior.
Most importantly we need to recognize that the Holy Spirit will never lead us to behave in ways which violate traditional Christian standards. There are other spirits who are speaking to our world, and we must be on guard against those voices.
When we are tempted to break God’s law, we should recognize what we risk. In sin we lose our closeness to God. We cut ourselves off from His divine Spirit, and we open our awareness to the influences of the forces who seek to destroy our very souls. I don’t say this to be judgmental or harsh to Mr. Boltz. Much of his music was wonderful, and I find it sad that one who was once used to glorify the Lord, has now set himself up in rebellion against God’s holy Word. This is a battle that he will lose; there can be no victory when we choose to rebel against God. So he needs our prayers and compassion, as one who is headed for more pain than he can imagine.
But we also need to redouble our own efforts to live our lives close to God. We may not be tempted by the sin of homosexuality, but we have our own temptations which are just as dangerous. Mr Boltz was quoted as saying that in the time before he decided to go down the road homosexuality, that he had found "other aspects" of his church community that he disagreed with. I wonder what the steps of dropping away from his faith and family were? We need to be faithful in the small things, so that we don’t become rebellious, and fall into a personal and spiritual disaster. Our life is not about getting rid of the guilt we feel about our sin; it is about learning to conform to God’s requirements for our lives, and finding our pleasure in Him, rather than in the things of the flesh. Without living with this basic truth as our guidepost, we will never find real satisfaction in our lives, and we will only find God’s wrath after this life is over."

Church in the 'Boro has become a wonderful hodgepodge of Christians that don't fit anywhere else. We're not so "seeker-friendly" that we lose the glory of God's Word, but we're not strict on the "non-essentials," like how we dress...either.
(Yet, I wouldn't show up on Sunday morning in a bathing suit. Somebody is liable to throw a tablecloth over you to protect the men of the congregation because we believe that tells us not to "cause our brother to sin.")

Anointed is a great brother and sisters trio that I first heard about twenty years ago, too. Most recently they provided the voice talent for three angels on Jonah, The Veggie Tales Movie, that was in theaters a few years ago. The three main angels are fairly good charicatures of the siblings. (My little girl and I always have to dance!)

The Importance of Being a One-Issue Voter! :)
The following quoted article is the strongest statement that I have personally ever heard Senator John McCain make about the issue of protecting the physical life of the most vulnerable people on Earth!
Many times during my adult years I have been called a "One-Issue Voter!" This "small-minded man" is thrilled over the blessing of such a moniker!
The reason I am a One-Issue Voter is the same reason every sober-minded human being should be a One-Issue Voter...in my humble opinion.
"When we make a candidate's World-View the issue under investigation, we do not have to pay attention to every possible issue that can be investigated, since the Character of an honorable individual will consistently make better choices than an individual who is duplicitous!" Jostan Verity
Since the very first Presidential election in which I could vote, I have never voted for any candidate who did not make some level of commitment to the Protection of Living Humans in their most vulnerable state! (Anybody here for "state's rights?")
I voted for His Majesty, Ronald Reagan, in 1980! (That was my most enthusiastic vote!)
I stumped for Pat Robertson during the 1988 Primary Season! (That was a bit of a long-shot, but still educationally worth the effort!)
I voted for Bob Dole in 1996...which by this standard was my most shameful vote...for he never gave Pro-Life Voters, like me, any real motivation to vote FOR him! (He basically "peed" on the Republican's Pro-Life platform!) He was merely the only real choice against BC!
(I'm sorry Mr. Dole, but you don't win the hearts of conservative Americans by "playing footsie" with liberals! You, also, don't win the Presidency! For THAT reason I thank Senator McCain for listening to people, like me, who are very grateful for his strong right-turn with the elegant lady, Governor Sarah Palin!)
Bottom Line: My Logic is this...If an individual cannot fight for the rights of humans who cannot live without help, then why should I believe that the same individual will consider me to be more valuable than a dollar bill when I can live without aid? :]
Every other voter issue is wrapped up in the respect for human life!
1. If a candidate doesn't respect my life, he or she will not care to let me keep any more money than what is left over after they confiscate everything possible. ("It's the Economy, Stupid!" BC as advised by "Serpent-Head" Carville.)
2. If a candidate doesn't respect my life, he or she will make my Health Care on the basis of lowest common denominator..."So, everybody gets a little! Ergo, the weakest die (to reduce the surplus population,) and the strongest pay more taxes!" (Thank You, Mr. Darwin! This is your "Survival of the Fittest" at its finest!)
3. If a candidate doesn't respect my life, he or she will make my military weak through lack of fundage; feminine-hearted "peace-mongers"; and letting just anybody run for President...so that we can unilaterally disarm (which tells our enemies, "Please, Come in and Conquer us for we are STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!")
I could go on, but I believe you get the point that RESPECT for LIFE is the only issue a candidate must answer favorably in order to be fit for office! :)

The week began with a debate of sorts between Senator Obama and me at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California. In case you missed it, the discussion yielded the line of the week, and maybe even of the campaign, when Pastor Rick Warren asked my opponent a very serious question. He wanted to know at what point, in my opponent's view, does a baby have human rights? Senator Obama thought about it for a moment, and came back with the reply that the question was, quote, "above my pay grade."
Here was a candidate for the presidency of the United States, asked for his position on one of the central moral and legal questions of our time, and this was the best he could offer: It's above his pay grade. He went on to assure his interviewer that there is a, quote, "moral and ethical element to this issue." Americans expect more of their leaders.
Listening to my opponent at Saddleback, you would never know that this is a politician who long since left behind any middle ground on the abortion issue. He is against parental notification laws, and against restrictions on taxpayer funding for abortions. In the Illinois Senate, a bipartisan majority passed legislation to prevent the horrific practice of partial-birth abortion. Senator Obama opposed that bill, voting against it in committee and voting "present" on the Senate floor.
In 2002, Congress unanimously passed a federal law to require medical care for babies who survive abortions - living, breathing babies whom Senator Obama described as, quote, "previable." This merciful law was called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Illinois had a version of the same law, and Barack Obama voted against it.
At Saddleback, he assured a reporter that he'd have voted "yes" on that bill if it had contained language similar to the federal version of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Even though the language of both the state and federal bills was identical, Senator Obama said people were, quote, "lying" about his record. When that record was later produced, he dropped the subject but didn't withdraw the slander. And now even Senator Obama's campaign has conceded that his claims and accusations were false.
I can assure you that if I am president, advancing the cause of life will not be above my pay grade."

Listening to my opponent at Saddleback, you would never know that this is a politician who long since left behind any middle ground on the abortion issue. He is against parental notification laws, and against restrictions on taxpayer funding for abortions. In the Illinois Senate, a bipartisan majority passed legislation to prevent the horrific practice of partial-birth abortion. Senator Obama opposed that bill, voting against it in committee and voting "present" on the Senate floor.
In 2002, Congress unanimously passed a federal law to require medical care for babies who survive abortions - living, breathing babies whom Senator Obama described as, quote, "previable." This merciful law was called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Illinois had a version of the same law, and Barack Obama voted against it.
At Saddleback, he assured a reporter that he'd have voted "yes" on that bill if it had contained language similar to the federal version of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Even though the language of both the state and federal bills was identical, Senator Obama said people were, quote, "lying" about his record. When that record was later produced, he dropped the subject but didn't withdraw the slander. And now even Senator Obama's campaign has conceded that his claims and accusations were false.

What a Blessing it is to be a "Small-Minded" individual, especially when you consider the alternative! :}
First, all members of polite society are taught to be "small-minded" and to eschew "getting the Big-Head!"
One would suppose that in some cliques accepting myriad possibilities to certain questions is considered to be fashionable, socially-acceptable, and just plain "NICE."
On the other hand, how many people really notice all the possible answers to a Google search?
How many people actually take the time to look at all those answers? (BTW, if you ever find that person, Quick! Yank out your cell-phone and call Ripley's Believe or Not! in St. Augustine, Florida! THAT would be one for the books!)
How many people actually look beyond the first page of possibilities? How many people look at all the possibilities on the first page? :/
Secondly, until the near-future (according to Arthur C. Clarke, author of 2001: A Space Odyssey,) the human brain remains the world's most intricate super-computer. If we merely apply the logic of advanced technology to the size of one's mind, then being called "small-minded" is most likely one of the world's highest compliments.

Forty days after Jesus' Resurrection, He ascended back into Heaven where He rules today in Majesty! He rules in the lives of those who have made him their lifes' LORD through the Power of his Holy Spirit!

We need no heat our way to foil,
True North is always lax!
What gives me this authority...
to be so sure of Right?
The Word of God will ever be...
our Witness,...Day or Night!
You know the Word of God is True,
but I've no right to preach?
My character shows lack?...I'm through?
in that regard...none teach!
Wow! Could it be your mind has gone...
the way of all the Earth?
To set the standard, "Fully Done!"
to evidence New Birth!
You tread on ice as thin as glass...
believing that to preach,
Requires a character surpassed...
such "truths" the devils teach!
Shows YOU are WRONG, my Foolish Friend,
you moor your ship to barge!
Quite surely Truth it seems to bend,...
as sturdy as it's large!
If you will look beyond your nose,
to see the Truth you bought,
You'll find Eternally you lose,
You're not secure, but caught!
Returning to the point I made,
that Truth is Absolute,
You'll see I preach to just "Obey,..."
the Call to not be mute!"
The Harvest is upon us Now!
The laborers still few!
Come sow the seed behind The Plow!
May He live strong in you!
The vessel that is clean and new,
is merely just a babe!
Yet tools that our Great LORD will use...
are soiled with daily clay!
The enemy would teach a lie,
he would divide our force,
"The LORD can't use a dirty guy!"
He uses YOU...by choice!
The fact is God WILL use a man...
who's wounded in the fight,
We look to Jesus and His Plan...
through Resurrection's might!
It is not we who make us bold,
to preach the Truth to all,
It is the LORD by Whom we're told,
"I keep! You'll never fall!"
