This may seem silly to some but I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED that the weather here in Florida has cooled off! You just don't know! I'm sitting here with my doors open and it smells so good! I've had my air on and house closed up since April. Fall is my favorite time of year because of this. I get hot real easy - why did I move to Florida???? I haven't had my air on in 3 days! I was just sitting outside looking at the stars while my dogs were nosing around. I can't do that in the summer! I LOVE IT!

I have to say that since starting on SodaHeads; and purely by accident, I feel like I have become part of a family. I've gotten so many positive remarks from members. I feel as though I have made some truly wonderful friends and I feel so good about that. How wonderful that we can make friends without judgement of race, economic level, gender, religion, etc. Sometimes we can't do that with our life friends or family. I truly thank Fef and the other owners of SodaHeads for bringing this experience to us.

I am putting this on my blog because I don't know what else to do. I feel you all are my friends and I would like your input. My 22 year old daughter greeted me this morning by telling me she is pregnant. The father already has a 3 year old child by another girl and he can't seem to make up his mind who he wants to be with! My 24 year old son has a 4 year old and a 1 year old but he was much more grown up at the time as my daughter. She had drug and alcohol problems in the past and is on probation at this time. She is really a beautiful, wonderful girl but has low self-esteem...hence the addictions; plus her father is an alcoholic. This is supposed to be a happy time but I'm just feeling stress!! I am retired now and am enjoying going to bed late and getting up late; enjoying my quiet time, SodaHead time, etc. I feel as though I will lose this. Am I just being selfish? Any thoughts from you all would be appreciated! Thanks.

Wouldn't it be great if we got exercise while on SodaHead? Wow, I would be a thin, dream machine! I really need to exercise and I can't seem to get myself in the mind frame to do it. I have a pool right outside my back door and I just don't go in it often enough. Where do you find the motivation to exercise? Could you give me some, please?

Oh, my God! I'm never going to get off this computer!!!! I need to go to a 12 step program! I just heard from someone here on SodaHeads about Photobucket and I went there. That looks like fun also! What did we all do without this WONDERFUL machine???? I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

high school graduation

I worked for a high school for many years and I still go to graduation. We have a wonderful party after graduation called Project Graduation. The kids pay $10.00 (unless they can't and then we pay for them) and they get a t-shirt and get to come to this HUGE party all night. The parent volunteers work all year getting free gifts, food, and many games for the kids. They have to be there from 11:00 PM until about 4:30 AM. We give away 2 cars (about 3 years old), many, many gifts, and there is food all night long! There's a swimming pool and they have boat races about 1:00 AM to wake them up. I personally have a bracelet booth and they can make bracelets all night if they want to. Every student gets at least a $25.00 gift. The idea is that we don't want them to go out and drink. We really have a great turnout and the kids love it. Any opinions out there? Do you have this in your town? If not, you might want to look into it!

I am having so much fun disagreeing (sp?) - that looks funny! This is as good as being at a big party and everyone having different views BUT their's no shouting! I love it! I feel like I've made some great cyber friends! I hope it just gets better and better! Who started Sodaheads anyway? Does anyone know?

It's 5:00 AM and I'm still on Sodaheads!! One of the polls the other day was...Are you addicted? I guess I am! The time goes by so fast and I get so wrapped up in certain questions the time just flies by. I do enjoy it and have met some interesting people. I think this is the best thing since......well since e-mails!

American Idol Gives Back

I know many of you out there watch American Idol. I hope you watched the Idol Gives Back program last week. They showed the homeless and starving children and adults with aids in Africa. Many of these children live by themselves...one 12 year old boy lives only with his 7 year old sister and they have nothing. They also showed how many, many people get Malaria and have no medicine to get them well, even tho it is quite inexpensive..for our standards. They also showed the poor in our country...children who barely get an education, kids that have nowhere to go after school but home by themselves in bad neighborhoods. It was an extremely touching program that I will never forget. There are people that say we should take care of our own country only. This is OUR world and we are one! We should all help each other in whatever capacity we can. Just a small donation can save a life in Africa. You can see some of the clips if you go to the American Idol site. There is still time to donate. Everyone who has ever watched American Idol knows how harsh Simon can be but you need to see him in Africa. He was sickened by what he saw and I believe it changed him forever. We all have enough money for a new pair of shoes, watches, etc. but these people have nothing and have never even seen a watch. Please think about this and research it if you doubt it. There are so many that need our help!

I have always enjoyed American Idol but I now have a new respect for what they have done. They have so far raised 70 million dollars. If other shows did this and we all just gave up a coffee at Starbucks every week, we could so so much.

I've been reading comments all night and have read some very interesting ones. Lots that I don't agree with but that is the point. We all have different views and that's what makes us all tick! If we were all alike and had the same views - how boring would that be?
