So this agency that my mom wants to look into for my acting... won't even consider me unless i have a passport..
now I think passports are like the COOLEST thing in the world..
you can't really travel around without one...
and i've never had one before...
call me geeky..
but i think it sounds COOL..
I actually hope to be sent to Canada.. if I ever make an audition....
it would be like a dream come true...
its so beautiful there..

So my friend was going through quotes... while we were on AIM... and she sent me this one.. I was like... "hold up.... why?" She was saying what she was afraid of.... and I was like..let me try to relate too.

I started thinking about everything that I am afraid of.... and the different situations... and why I would overcome those fears in those situations...

It took me a while to even think about some of my fears... I'm usually the kind of person to jump right in without even thinking...

First of all.. I have no fear of speaking my mind... which is a major fear that most people have....

Second.. I'm not afraid of 'most' spiders, snakes or the dark...

What am I afraid of..??

Then It hit me.... Its not exactly things I have to be afraid of... but feelings...

I'm afriad to cry sometimes,,, I'm afraid of failure... and I'm afraid of people loosing the people I love...

But how would I relate that to the quote above?

The closest thing I could think of:

Loosing Family or friends: I realize I would do anything for my family and friends without thinking if it involved them having their lives on the line.

Failure: I can never really apply this to the quote.... the only way i can is by overcoming this fear and making sure I don't fail... which is hard to do... work hard and live.. i guess....

Cry: I make myself seem stronger than others... knowing that if I cry it makes me that much weaker... I hate being the weakest link... but maybe crying isn't a bad thing...

Can Education Be The Only Way for Prevention? &n... By: Taylor Nikole

While taking health in summer school we learned about AIDS and the effects that the disease has on our economy and society. One day during this time I mentioned that I wanted to do something to help these people, but in response my friend asked why we should help them because it was after all their mistake. I spent a long time thinking about what my friend had said and I became furious with their comment. People don’t seem to realize that some schools and parents are not educating their children on AIDS and other STD’s. Everyone is going to have some sexual desire in their lifetime and if their not educated on what can happen when they eventually do become sexually active it can lead to serious mistakes and consequences.

&... Let’s start off with what AIDS is. AIDS stands for Acquire Immune Deficiency Syndrome. You don’t just get AIDS, but you are first infected with HIV or Human Immune Deficiency Virus. Not all HIV cases turn into AIDS. A good percentage of HIV cases can turn into AIDS if it is not spotted quickly enough and kept under control. HIV and AIDS can not be treated, but can be controlled with medications.

AIDS is caused by the immune system being depleted of its cells by HIV. If these cells become defective the body is not able to fight off other bacteria and viruses as easily as before. HIV is most commonly categorized as an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease), but it can also be spread through sharing needles (most commonly related to drug use and unsanitary tattoos and piercing) and given to a fetus while it is still in its mother’s uterus if she is infected with the HIV virus.

&... Most people don’t even know they have HIV and the only way to know for sure is to get tested for the virus. This test can be taken at hospitals and clinics. The test is a blood test that will tell you if you are HIV positive or HIV negative. HIV can infect anyone and there is a phrase that says “HIV does not discriminate”. It doesn’t matter your ethnicity or if you’re gay or straight, anyone can get HIV if they are not careful. The person next to you could have HIV and you wouldn’t know it. The person next you might not even know that they have the virus either. Nearly 1 out of 5 people in the U.S. are infected with HIV and the number rises each day as more people have unprotected sex and take part in other unsafe and unsanitary activities.

&... Some ways to prevent HIV are to have safe sex by using condoms and other contraceptives or refrain from using injection drugs and drugs in general. You can’t be sure that any kind of contraceptive will prevent HIV or other STD’s. The only sure way you can keep yourself from getting HIV is by abstinence, staying faithful to your partner and not sharing needles with others. Just remember to think before you act and remember that your life could be at stake if you don’t think things through.
