Intermittently I might be able to check in on a question, blog or discussion, for the most part “cjj” will be silenced (only online I assure you because in reality the good fight continues).

With my SH experience somewhat behind me (at least for now) I am happy to say that, although our views may differ, most of the people I have bantered with are rational people whether right or left. I have friends in my list all across the board and proud of it--even some irrational friends whom I find greatly intriguing and entertaining. Tolerance is the key to variety. Nothing is more satisfying to me than to find someone with a very different viewpoint and end up becoming friends because of some little piece of common ground (even if it might only be the Reaper and wolves…yeah, you know who you are). It takes some reaching out, but well worth it.

I have only felt the need to block two SodaHeads in this time I have spent at the SH forums (if they are reading this they know who they are) and that is due to either consistently claiming me wrong regarding my own life experience, which in actuality is calling me a liar (I absolutely DETEST liars and assure you I am not one...I have no need to do so as I am not ashamed of any of my life experiences; they all have served purpose), OR using the mail tool to insult me because they want to keep some kind of “I am so very gracious and tolerant” image even though at heart they are deeply vile and demented. Even then, I gave them every chance to be civil. It was only when they were so far off base with their lame attempts at somehow “knowing” me without knowing me that I felt it was time to shut them up and stop allowing them to waste my time.

Here I want to thank all those folks of which I have learned your viewpoints and gotten to know as interesting people. Often those points are spread across the vast plane of opinion, but welcome to America. I have asked it many times and will ask it here again; in what other country are you able to do such a thing openly and honestly without fear of penalties such as death or worse? (Please do not respond with projections of doom. I have heard these projections for the entire of my 50 years of life and we are still free to voice our opinions in the US. God Bless America!)

Name calling and such asinine behavior happens on both sides of the fence and it is sad. When intolerance begins it is time to either attempt to take that intolerance and drive it into the open to the result of others seeing the irrationality behind the speaker or just turn the other way and leave. To return in like is not an option. I agree with the old adage of two wrongs not making a right. Yet to every rule there is an exception and the case of Sarah Palin is where I make a huge exception of making it clear that I think she is a total idiotic moron. To my defense this is because of my undying support of the wolf reintroduction program to which she is probably THE most despised person alive. In respect of the Spirit Wolf I will make no apologies for my outright disdain toward this poor excuse of human flesh (Palin).

At this point I would like to present an honest observation...It would seem that our elected officials are truly a representation of America. Something is working because they can't agree and spending time on this site makes it obvious that neither can the American people for which they supposedly stand. Our government is truly a representation of the constituents whether that is a likable fact or not. I find this disagreement toward politics a good thing because a government unopposed is a dangerous government indeed, as history has so often shown us.

So now with Labor Day behind us this long-winded SodaHead will be off to the uncharted area from whence she came. No Internet, no phone, just a bunch of lawless outlaws. Too bad most of them are so damned ornery because I have so enjoyed the discussions found within this forum. Where I come from some still erroneously believe that a big gun and a big truck make you right. (sigh) The good news is that I have been making some headway in proving this ideology wrong in recent years.

Remember--

"It is the duty of every patriot to protect his country from its government" - Thomas Paine

Right, left, middle, Republican, Democrat or any other political party, if you have ever questioned your government, regardless of who was or may be in charge, it makes you a Patriot.

BTW-Since I am missing some plug-in or something I am unable to give the raves so many of you deserved (and many that didn’t). I was going to fix that but after reading a recent post about “ganging up” (or is it really “sour grapes”…who knows for sure?), I will probably not. I now see it is best left the way it is. If I like what you say, you will know it. If not, you will also know it and 2FB4U.

Thanks for the memories.

Last words: Sarah Palin is a f***ing stupid, idiotic moron who doesn’t know her ass from a hole in the ground let alone the real science behind nature and healthy ecosystems.

2009-09-09T05:56:57Z cjj
