The matrix of influence that has personal advisor to the President, Buffett, endorsing the actions of sitting Senator Nelson, who was coerced by the Senate Majority Leader, Mr. Reid, into accepting preferential treatment for one state. This should raise eyebrows nationwide. Surely Mr. Buffett knew as early as March health care reform would be the signature initiative of this administration. From March 2 to January 29, United Health Group and Well Point Insurance, two Buffett portfolio companies, have doubled. Buffet also holds Medical Protective, a medical malpractice insurer. There is no medical malpractice lawsuit reform in the bill. Is Medical Protective’s (privately held company) bottom line better or worse off absent the tort reform Americans are demanding? Who would have benefited from health care reform: Americans or Buffett, his portfolio and his pals? Senator Nelson is spending a lot of money to rehab his image. It’s no fun staying home for dinner every night. However, since you bring it up, Mr. Nelson, would you be so kind as to fully disclose these relationships to us? Would you truthfully and without reservation answer the following questions: Who was in the room when you cut your deal with Reid? What was said? Did you speak directly with Mr. Obama? Did you profit personally for your vote? Did you and Buffett consult one another on this bill? Why are you still talking about this bill? 2010-01-30T23:27:15Z SarahIone Obambi Lied. IMHO, you had better figure out what the Progressives stand for. It ain't pretty. Also, I strongly suggest you believe everything you read and hear about these folks. It's outrageous. BUT, it is high time you believed your five senses and trusted your instincts about these folks.

It was the rich who loved what Hitler was saying in the twenties. The list is long of folks who were Nazi sympathizers including King David (King of England) and Wallace Simpson, his wife. FDR didn't mind what the guy was saying until he became a menace, threatening all of Europe. Joe Kennedy, father of the Kennedy clan, you know-the former stock market insider and bootlegger. Just like today, the rich and powerful loved Hitler because his goals and political aspirations mirrored theirs. Don't forget that FDR falsely imprisoned Japanese-Americans. He manipulated the courts and lied to the American people about Social Security among other things. He trampled Americans' rights on a regular basis. (Read "Liberty and Tyranny" by Mark Levin.)

The Progressives are hell-bent on "transforming" this country. Well, screw that! This country is just fine or would be if we were adhering to the Constitution. We ordinary Americans are not the problem. The Constitution-trampling, elitist, I-want-to-be-just-like-Europe, Progressives are. THEY are the problem. THEY need to move to the place where the system is what they want. AMERICA is just fine, thank you. So, here's a bumper sticker I like:

"Leave my country and take your "President" with you." 2009-09-06T12:02:21Z SarahIone Punish Obama's Supporters http://www.sodahead.com/blog/106923
 SarahIone

+20 raves
Money is the "mother's milk" of politics. One of the ways We the People can bring these corrupt politicians back into line is to go after their sponsors and benefactors.

One huge example of this is Omaha Steaks, owned by the Simon family here in Omaha, Nebraska. These folks gave both personally and through the company over $89,000 to the Democrats for the 2008 election cycle. It is wholly appropriate to hold these "enablers" accountable.

Please call Omaha Steaks at the following number: 1-800-960-8400 This is their in-bound sales department. When they answer, let them know that because the Simons gave over $89,000 to elect this corrupt regime that is oppressing the American people, you will no longer be purchasing their product.

If you are on Omaha Steaks' calling list and they call to solicit you, ask to have your name put on the "Do Not Call" list. This hurts them big time as they call only those who have previously ordered from them. At present, Omaha Steaks is trying to recover from a devastating blow to this list. This self-inflicted wound is the direct result of their greed. They began calling their customers so often, they ticked off their customer base to the tune of double digits. I know this because I worked for them for a few months the first quarter of the year.

Although the Quality Control department does not monitor all calls, they hear enough of them to verify what the associates will be reporting: angry Americans who do not appreciate the funding of heavy-handed, corrupt, Constitution-violating thug elected officials. She was discussing Justice Souter's impending retirement and how Obama's pick would affect the court. One of her guests was Richard Goldstein, a Democratic lawyer. Here is a portion of the transcript, as best as I could write it down:

Richard Goldstein: "The law is ambiguous. If it weren't, every Supreme Court [decision] would be 9-0. Barak Obama's view is that the well heeled - they have plenty of people on the Supreme Court who have travelled in the same circles their whole professional lives. They are in a bit of an echo chamber themselves. That crowd's well represented. The crowd that he got elected to represent is not as well represented."

Laura Ingraham: "That's not the role of the court, Richard. The role of the court is to represent the interests of the people. The role of the court and justices is to apply the law faithfully to the Constitution as it is written."

Richard Goldstein: "I love it when people on the Right decry legislation from the bench...."

Goldstein goes on to say that the Right should "thank its lucky stars that the Supreme Court legislated from the bench in Bush vs. Gore...”

Laura stopped Goldstein short during that tribute to "Bush stole the election" rhetoric and moved the interview on.

So here's what galls me. Not the same old rhetoric that Liberals want justices to legislate from the bench, but that this man so firmly states that Barak Obama was elected to represent only a portion of the country; and that it is Barak Obama's mission to load the court up with justices who will represent only those people who voted for him.

So, is it true that Barak Obama was elected to represent only those who voted for him?

Yep, and we on the right saw this train coming down the track from several miles away. I, for one, am not the least surprised. In fact, a major “thank you” is in order.

Thank you, Mr. Obama for showing us your true colors. Thank you for your candor. You have validated each and every concern I had and shared with others regarding the way you would govern.

That you have moved so boldly and arrogantly has so alarmed the American public that even the mind-numbed, guilt-ridden whites who voted for your “historic” election are beginning to rub the sleep out of their eyes. I would have preferred to have the equally as historic election of the first woman in the Executive Branch, but I digress.

Barack Obama as an Illinois state senator publicly stated his desire to uncouple the American landscape from its Constitution. The tape of his interview regarding this topic was readily available prior to election day. Unfortunately, the love-sick drones (thank you, Mark Levin for “nailing” these twits with the perfect moniker) were too busy “making history” to notice the gun pointed at their heads. We conservatives did our level best to warn you all. So, the obvious question is “What now?”

As usual, I will get it right because I am a logical conservative who thinks things out to their logical conclusion.

I was born into a country that revered the rule of law. I was born into a representative republic whose freedoms were GUARANTEED by a legally binding contract. That contract is know as the Constitution.

The various and sundry reckless and illegal activities being undertaken by YOUR president and which you support are literally robbing this country blind. Obviously, any person who is tearing down a system doesn’t like it very much. However, the fact that a limp dick Congress (this is the internet, so I am going to use blunt language) is allowing this to happen does not alter the reality that the Constitution is STILL in force.

So, why the hell don’t you ignorant asses (that internet thing again with the correct language) go plop yourselves down somewhere you can practice this insane religion of yours and leave the rest of us alone. It may be time to just split up this country.

You losers who hate the Constitution and the rule of law, you whiners who need the government to wipe your backsides and dry your tears, you can have Barack and Oprah. We won’t miss them. Oprah can “feel your pain” and Obummer can tell you when to crap and what to drive.

The rest of us can have our own place in the sun and set it all back to right using the Constitution as our guide. Let's start by splitting the proceeds of this country right down the middle. We will allow our federal government to exercise ONLY the 18 enumerated powers, ridding ourselves of layers and layers of bureaucracy and hundreds of thousands of federal employees. Happy days are here again!

Some of us will fail—that is the right of a free people. Or maybe our losers will just move in with you all. Either way, when the rights of a truly free people are unleashed in a capitalist, God-fearing nation, the energy that will be released will be white hot. People will take responsibility for themselves and generously donate to those who truly need help. Your crew, by contrast will languish.

I give you jackasses on the left a decade—tops. We will bury you, to quote a dead Russian dictator.

Care to bet on this one? 2009-05-03T01:14:46Z SarahIone
