My Dream with Barack Obama
At six this morning I awoke to a thunderstorm, very rare for San Diego. It was very loud. My mom checked on me. I said I was okay. but it was weird. I went back to bed.
I went back to dreaming...
I entered a room. Barack Obama was there sitting in a chair. it was just the two of us. I started talking. I did all the talking as he just sat there. I don't even know if he even noticed me as I talked anyway.
but this is what I basically said...
I said I am a Republican and I will be voting for McCain. But I told him if he wins I will still respect him because he will be President. I said I supported Bill Clinton even though he was a Democrat but he was the President so I did so.
So went my talk with Barack Obama.
I just want to put the last eight years behind me and us as a nation and move forward, no matter who will be the next President.
Peace

raves +1 posted Sep 30, 2008 12:58PM GMTOK, Tom. It's nice to see someone say they will respect whoever the winner is. Reminds me of what Pres. Bus 41 said about the work of the American people being more important...I like that, too.

raves +1 posted Sep 30, 2008 12:36AM GMTYou, my dear Tommy are a rare breed. I wish more people would bury the hatchet and accept who was/is elected and respect him. Not fight and hate him as so many people are currently doing. don't you know our enemies are so so very happy that we are becoming a nation divided!

raves +1 posted Sep 30, 2008 12:23AM GMTI was going to ask you if you heard the thunder. I had to go outside to see if it was real!
Yes, we need to move past the last 8 years and start fresh. I too hope that when the elections are over, we can all become one nation again. -

raves +2 posted Sep 29, 2008 11:48PM GMTYes, Tommy, I too am a Republican, and this time I will be voting for a Republican. I did vote for Bill Clinton as well. First we have to get our financial crisis under control, then on to the serious business of electing our next President! Amazing dream, Tommy!:o)

raves +2 posted Sep 29, 2008 10:35PM GMTlol i'm glad you wanted to make sure that he knew you wanted to put the last 8 yrs behind you......no one was/is happy w/ our current president. Did you see the crappy economic situation we're in now? no money for banks- stock crashing.....bad times ahead for whoever becomes president next.

raves +1 Sep 30, 2008 12:20AM GMTAnd my dear...do you think this financial crisis was ALL the republicans fault ie G.W....this horrible mess we are in started in 1999...sorry, this was Clinton's time. Nothing has or was done to correct it. This is the fault of both parties, it's called politics as usual. Please, check your sources before BLAMING our current president and/or the republican party.
