I will be gone for 4 days
As most of my Sodahead friends know my Mother passed away this last Thursday Aug. 7th. I am leaving in 2 hours to fly out to California for the Funeral. The viewing and rosary are on Monday and the funeral is on Tuesday. i will be taking the redeye back on Wed. night.
My Mother was a wonderful person. she raised me to be just like her. even though i am lucky enough to have my own little things about me. I don't know how i am going to handle being a Mom and wife without her to talk to, but i am happy she is in a better place.
She found out she had lung cancer when she got sick in Feb. and went to the hospital on and off finally they looked a little deeper and found Lung Cancer.
They weren't sure if that was it really was so it took 2 months before they finally were able to get the test results back that proved she had it. They started chemotherapy right away and she only had 3 treatments before she lost all of her strength and was hospitalized for a month.
In July she was sent back home with hospice care and was doing nothing but sleeping for the entire she was home. she didn't eat because she couldn't keep anything down.
She went into the hospital on Monday the 4th and she passed away with no pain at 9pm on Thursday the 8th.
My Mother was only 45 years old.
This will prob be the hardest thing i will have to deal with. so far all of my good friends THE BEAVERGUNNS! have given me the best support i have ever gotten. they are my true friends.
plus i have some other friends here and there that have stopped by the check on me and as much as i don't want to see it at the time. it makes me feel better after words.
i would like to thank each and everyone of my friends on here for all of the support they have been giving me and i don't know what i would do if i didn't have you guys.
i will see everyone on Thusday!

A Distant Shore
The sea flows on past the horizon
to rest upon a shore
out of our sight.
The stars fade
in the morning sunlight
and travel to another
starry night.
The breeze blows
quieltly around us,
then flies away
to cool a distant space.
The ones we love never really leave us,
but go on to another shining place. -

i'll be thinking of you at this painful time, you know that so many of us are there for you . you are a strong person, you can handle this.
take care

raves +6 posted Aug 10, 2008 06:28AM GMTEager Beaver, I realize we've never met here at SH, but I still wanted to offer my condolences. I lost my mom to cancer in 2004 and it was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever endured. Just keep reminding yourself that she isn't suffering anymore and that she would want you to enjoy your life and I promise you that you will get through this. (((hugs)))
