Through the Fire and Flames: My Goals

Through the Fire and Flames: Goals

At this point in my young life I have many goals that keep me going through the days. I have several long and short-term goals that I am working toward. The next few paragraphs discuss just a few of them and the significance behind them.
Another short and long-term goal of mine is to form a band the likes of which have never been seen. Luckily for me that goal doesn’t seem too far off. Kyle Kissinger and I have joined forces and have been on a talent search for a months now. So far we have come up with a vocalist (me), a guitarist (Kyle). The search for a drummer and a bassist still rages on and shall not end until the task is complete.
My goal, as far as a career goes, is to finish high school, go to pre-law school for two years, then go to law school for four years to become a prosecuting attorney. The major reason I want to become a prosecutor is that I am sick and tired of turning on the news and hearing that whoever the latest sick freak around just got off the hook after doing something horrible. I am also tired of the stereotype that lawyers are only dirty, money-grubbing, thieves. I would like to be a positive force in changing people’s views of law as a career field.
I also want to scour the country and maybe eventually the world in search of the perfect cup of coffee. This is a trip that is already on the drawing board. It would, of course, take me through the greatest coffee nations in the world including Ethiopia, France, Guatemala, Columbia, and Brazil. I would start in South and Central America and then make my way to the European countryside. Of course, this is still in the planning stages and since it is a search for perfection it requires the perfect plan and timing.
One of my biggest ongoing tasks is to change the way people think about their everyday situations. From your basic “what ifs” as in “what if President Lincoln had been on the other side of his wife when Booth entered the room” to trying to (and, strangely enough, sometimes succeeding at) convince people that their real life objects are photo shopped. The job is endless yet fun. Like foods, the possibilities are limitless.
These are just of few of my long and short-range goals, and hopefully I won’t have to go through the fire and flame to reach them. No matter how big the fire, no matter how hot the flame I will carry on.
